When used to say bullish!t like the ice tilts in our direction when player x is out there in whatever particular game...
it’s WAY TOO SMALL a sample size

A guy’s line could have a 55% Corsi tonight
And according to that stat,
his line “dominated”
Right?

In reality...
his line outshot the other line something like 9 to 7
1) 2 extra shots isn’t game changing
2) how many of those shots came from the outside, or the point, etc when there was no real danger of them producing a goal?

Bc “Corsi” doesn’t tell us that
3) how about when player x does his job perfectly, but someone else out there with him screws up & a shot gets on net
Then his Corsi number is punished, even when he did his job?
It’s basically just +\- in larger format

So once again...
