Agreed, both offensive D with little Defensive skills. You would receive the cheaper contract, we would receive the D man with better numbers. But I honestly feel Butcher would better address your needs. Dev's have Ty Smith (on track to shatter every D-mans WHL records by over 20 points dating back to 2000), who will occupy that top 4 role next season. Severson or Butcher could surely be yours. Good luck with Zaitsev though..... The offensive defensman on pace for 5.8 points this year, and only 5 more years at 4.5M. Yikes

idk where you heard Zaits is an offensive dman, but hes not. Zero pp time and all he does is box guys out. No fukkin around in Babs system so if you want to remain in the league, you gotta play how he wants, like a robot. His contract is fine, no one is worried about it, he's just the most likely guy to get moved because other teams know what he's about and are inquiring. Oz not so much.

Time to move on from Gardiner - hard to imagine a worse defensive play than the one on Lindholm the other night. He might has well just shot it in his own net FFS.

People need to start using their brains, the leafs are not trading away a piece of their team while competing for a playoff spot. They are a contender, not a team out of the running for playoffs. They aren't subtracting.


What lindholm play the other night? There is no lindholm player on the Avs last game? If you talking about the soderberg play, I suppose you didn't see doughty so play the next game?
