great trade for the Rangers, even though he killed us in that playoff series like every former Ranger seems to do
- jimbro83

Yeah but now Pittsburgh is looking to move him. He jsut seemed to hit a wall after he left.

They'll find a way. If not, I'll find a way to get him on the Isles.

why did they feel compelled to give Gourde such along extension

they have no choice but to trade JT Miller, IMO

looks like a certainty, when you take into account all the guys that have NTCs

He's a really good player but he doesn't hold a candle to Point. Point is awesome and one of the most criminally-underrated players in the league.

Can't imagine anyone is dying to take on that contract. I don't think particularly highly of Miller, I wouldn't touch that deal at $5M+ for 4 more years.

if he wasn't on Tampa, there would be talk of him getting one of those Eichel type contracts

because they seem to get everyone signed for less money, I'd say he gets like 7.5 mil a year from them

Very fair point. I'd take it if they sent one of Cirelli/Joseph/Raddysh along with him

Wait a minute, this doesn't make any sense. I was told that Miller was going to be a point per game player as a fixture with Stamkos and Kucherov.

Yeah Idk if it would take that much to move him. But probably a prospect or a pick.

Edit: I just said Vancouver because they have a ton of cap space next year.

Dont think they'll be bringing any of Stralman/Girardi/Coburn back

Cal Foote replaces one of them

Maybe Erne, I'd take him too. He plays with some edge. They're gonna have to give someone up if they're going to ship out some salary.

If I were to guess, I bet they'd love to trade both Killorn and Tyler Johnson but the NTC's stop them

Yeah, they'll probably let Paquette walk too. I like him as a fourth liner. Not over Cizikas, but he'll be a good addition to some team.

They'll have to sign (or trade for) a cheap defenseman or two, can't lean too much on a rookie defenseman.
