Seems you have a strong dislike for the Bruins. They will be buyers. Not saying anyone good but im guessing they will at least get a bag of pucks.

I agree with most of this. The flyers however would have to acquire a goalie like Bob from CBJ which won’t happen. Or Quick which is more likely.

Oilers will have to part with something pricey and dear to their heart if they want to acquire what they need. St Louis won’t give up Parayko or Pietrangelo now. Not since they started playing better lately. It would be too pricey anyway. St Louis would want Nurse or Bouchard in return. I would not do that. They have a much better chance at grabbing Dougie Hamilton but again pricey. They want a top forward.

I expect Buffalo and Colorado to make deals sooner than the rest for the same reasons.
1) They were flying high but have dropped.
2) They both have 1 top line that is it.
3) They both have extra first round picks this year that can be used right away.
4) Both need secondary scoring and D.

I expect Winnipeg and Nashville to engage in an arms race. I believe both will chase Matt Duchene and the return will look like a 2018 1st round pick plus a prospect like Fabbro or Samberg. I could also see Stone going to the team that does not get Duchene. Or maybe Hayes. We all saw what Stastny did for the Jets.

SJ already made their moves. They’re done unless they trade roster players.

I really hope Vegas tanks.

Pittsburgh is in the same boat as SJ. If they want to trade roster players than maybe they can make a few moves. No
Prospects left in their system. A 2019 1st round pick is their only currency.

Leafs will continue to be laughable unless they get some D. That’s normal for them. They have not had good D since Timmie Horton in the 70s. Morgan Rielly is by himself.

I’m most interested in what TB does. They have prospects to deal. They don’t really NEED anything but anyone will jump at a goal scorer. This is definitely THEIR year.

For the Flyers...

I would like to see Fletch go out and get Duncan Keith from Chicago.

The Flyers need a stabilizing effect on D and to run him with Ghost and-or Provo that will do just that.

Flyers fans need to understand that Keith later in his career isn't going to be a 50 point guy but he could help stop the MISERABLE plus-minus issue with the Flyers' top two.

More importantly, this would be an investment (that they can afford) in Carter Hart. How many goals last night were "east-west" nightmare shots for Hart? The first two - for sure.

Would Chicago take a nice prospect and this year's second round pick for Keith?

The Flyers can not trade their Jack Hughes pick obviously.

-----

As for the Wayne Train - I love this guy. I loved him in LA and even better in Philly but he's going to get OVER PAID and good for him but the Flyers need to keep their window open.

How about the rough basics of a deal:

Toronto Gets:
- Simmonds
- A good prospect not named Morin, Farabee, Frost but a good one.
- A pretty good pick

Philly Gets:
- Nylander
- A lesser pick

I don't see the Flyers making the playoffs this year but these trades make them pretty damn good going forward.

----

Later we can talk about Coach Q for next year and how that ties into Keith above.

Columbus has two stars pending UFA and a boatload of cap room. Why aren't they on the list?
- Red001

CBJ are in a pickle with a fickle fan base. 😆
Seriously tho. They should go all in and beef up their team and finally win a round or 2. It might entice their pending UFAs to extend. Or not. But it will help to keep their fans interested. If they fail then they compromise future assets and have to start a retool. There are plenty of UFAs this off season to replenish the ranks if needed.

Yep and it looks pretty good right now.in a rebuild and still a 500 hockey team your team was supposed to contend this year with all your picks and prospects AND hart! How’s that going for ya right about now?

The Kings need salary relief so badly and they have a good record trading with the Flyers - I wonder if they would trade Quick to Philly and run with their kids next year?

The Flyers will have the money for it and he could be a GOOD mentor to Hart.

Hart looked GREAT last night. He needs more help however. See my post about getting Keith.

Bruins need a top 6 RW. That’s strongly evident all this year and last. Might end up spending a 1st plus just to get kicked in the nuts by TB again in round 2.

the flyers are not buyers
- 2Real

The Flyers ARE buyers.

Their window is FINALLY opening. Not for this year but likely next.

They can't do it on 7th string goalies and 20 year old kid phenoms and AHL coaches but next year won't have that.

They likely are sellers too in the case of Simmonds.

I know Trudeau legalized pot but come on. It’ll take at least a top prospect plus for Nylander.

Flyers should go to St Louis and acquire Pietrangelo or Parayko for Provorov. Off season trade do they can get an extension done for Pietrangelo. Then they can compete next year and beyond.

Not one single person said they would contend this year...not even the most blinded Flyer fans.

Congratulations on being the Toronto Maple Leafs from the 90's and 00's...here is your forever bubble team sticker.

I wouldn't move Keith unless we got at least a 1st + top Prospect. Keith is still the best defender on the Hawks and is still a top 4 defender. His contract is also pretty reasonable at 5.5 million for the next 5 years (including this year). I can see him playing top 4 minutes for the next 3 years and then he'll probably be playing 3rd pair.[/img]

Flyers will buyers, but it will be for next season, not a run at this season's playoffs. They will probably trade Simmonds, but I could see them acquiring a quality goal scorer, maybe a top 4 D-man, too with the cap space they have? Looks like the Flyers are putting all of their goaltending eggs in Carter Hart's basket, so I doubt they will be spending big money on a goalie. Hopefully Fletch gets some help with the bottom 6 forwards? I don't expect all stars, but guys like Weise and Lehtera must go.

Keith will not get traded unless it’s a younger top 4 D or a high pick plus an A grade prospect.

Quick would help but what is the price tag?? Young D prospect like Sanheim or Myers?

Flyers should move Simmonds for sure. He’s a minus player every year. Only performs on the PP.

Chase Hamilton Parayko or Pietrangelo would help huge. Might be able to trade Voracek to Carolina. That would help lots.
