Writing is on the wall with this one fellas... if tonights game result isn't a no-brainer for Minnesota fans, then you haven't been a Minnesota sports fan long enough...
Wild fall tonight to the lowly Ducks... because that's just Minnesota professional sports is all. |

Nino Niederreiter traded to Carolina for right shot Center Victor Rask!
Guess Fenton is heating up!!!!
Salary exchange is Nino for 3 more years on a 5 year deal at $5.25 million per, Rask, 3 more years on a 6 year deal at $4 million per.
I'm expecting Staal will be next in line |

I was thinking that Nino was on his way out when they picked up Aberg. Right handed shot that can slot in as a RW. And Fenton was not about to move Granlund or Kunin. So now the Wild get a new C in Victor Rask. Both he and Nino have 3 years left on their contracts after this year, but Rask comes in at $1.2 mil less.
I really like this move. This tells me that maybe Coyle is possibly the next one to be sent out. Or does this move Staal to the head of the line in players to be traded away now? |

I dunno, I would think the way Coyle has been playing his value has gone up, but I would think Staal has to be next in line with his age, the way he's played over the last 3 months and the fact that he's one of if not thee only veteran contracts that's movable. |

What would it cost from the Oilers to add Coyle? How about Zucker? |

Not really sure. Not too many players on the Edmonton roster that are that desirable outside of Draisaitl. |

Zucker won't happen unless McDavid is offered. Not trying to over-value Zucker, but he has the one element that is missing from most of the Wild lineup and that is speed. Can't teach speed. Maybe Draisaitl, but the money doesn't line up. The point is that the Oil wouldn't be able to get Coyle or Zucker by just sending their junk the Wild's way. |

I think a deal could be made for Draisaitl and Zucker. Not sure what the ancillary pieces would be though. |

Put RNH into the conversation and now youre talking deals for coyle or zucker. Not sure if Puljujarvi is worth the risk. Maybe Yamamoto in a package. |

Draisaitl isn't in the conversation. Honestly, it's a rather absurd ask from my perspective but I can clearly see you guys value him that much so we can pass on that line of conversation. |

Wild would have to give up more than just Coyle or Zucker to touch Draisaitl, although id love to have him here. |

Does a framework around Coyle for Puljujarvi begin to tickle your fancy? |

Enjoy the win tonight Wild. Wouldn't be surprised to see Aberg put one in the net against the Ducks tonight. |

I've considered RNH as a thought, but I'm not sure that I'd be able to justify downgrading from him to Coyle. Zucker is much closer, but I'd expect something more to account for the difference in production and the value of RNH being a C. |

Right, not trying to over value Zucker, but his stats are somewhat comparable looking at last season. Like Gus said, the speed factor is big, but I wouldn't expect either club to go straight up. Obviously Draisaitl has higher value at this point. |

I wouldn't say comparable, but I understand that the Wild have struggled this year and Zucker's struggles have been a big reason. Either way, it's clear a deal around those two won't work for either side so no need to dwell further: how about Coyle? What value would you want Vs expect from him at the deadline? |

Ok, I've got it now...
Draisaitl, Puljujarvi, RNH and Evan Bouchard for Coyle, Zucker and....ummmm...the Wild throw in 3 "get outta jail" cards from Koivu's MEAN stare.
Hahahaha
I was laughing the entire time as I tried to type this out. I dare someone to actually say this trade scenario outloud with a straight face. |

Jeez... just tired of the slop filled lazy non compete dooshes on this team. Guys just not willing to move their feet. If i have to watch Staal lose another puck battle along the boards and then lolligag back the other way I think I’ll throw up.
Aberg looks like the only one with any motivation...
Dump, dump, dump, dump... dump it out of the zone, dump it into the zone, JUST DUMP IT. And horrible horrible passing
Great strategy |

A second rounder and good prospect for Coyle, and a first rounder and good prospect for Zucker. |
