Screen or no screen, Desmith was to far of his angles to make a save from a shot at that range.

JJ was kinda playing the in between because his guy was in the corner, Dumo definitely got caught out of position. I think a lot of defenders would’ve been that low - looking for a possible east to west outlet

That was Malkin’s guy, though. Malkin completely abandons him in the corner and never once shoulder checks to see who he should be covering. When you don’t have puck possession you have to be more aware. It’s jusf more lazy hockey from Geno and at this point it’s sad. I would be 100% fine having Sheahan center him and Phil. If he still doesn’t smarten up then bench him

Pettersson is having a pretty bad game

I like Simon a lot but when you’re out on PP2 and you’re the inside winger you HAVE to bust through in case you lose the draw. We lost the draw and he just stood on the inside hash. That’s not good enough. Then when there’s a loose puck battle in the corner he’s looping around the top of the circle. Wtf man. Get in there and get the puck back. As I’m typing this he absolutely gives it away at the far blue
