Rino, what do you think about potentially adding Hayes and keeping Sheahan as 3C. Would the cost be worth it? I think he would be a tremendous fit, could potentially re-sign and then move on from 72, but I also really still like the low-risk Spezza deal

Isn't going for someone like Muzzin just dipping your toes in the water for future assets? He's an upgrade over Maata and Johnson but I don't think he is that much better to justify giving up a 1st and a top prospect.

Id rather see the Pens go after the St Louis guys who may or may not be on the block. I've heard all of Pietrangelo, Parayko, Tarasenko and Schenn are available.

Also, I think Brassard to Edmonton for Yamamoto or Puljujavi is something that could work to get some young talent brought in.

Brass, a 1st, and Sprong might have garnered legit interest in that deal. But we have Petterson now.

I dont know if thats true. His first 15 months in Ottawa werent very good and he was 3 years younger. In that first season with them he was averaging .49 ppg and averaging 17:53 TOI plus 1st PP time. With the Pens this season he's at .39 ppg averaging 15:01 a game and no 1st PP time at all.

I see a player who's still fast and has hustle, still good skater, but is fanning on passes, shots and hitting posts. After reading some older interviews with him before he was a Pen he really seems like a guy that gets into his own head and when he does, does so heavy.

I'm slightly confused by what you're asking. I'm assuming you mean Sheahan at 4C if Hayes was brought in? I think Sheahan could be gone by the deadline. Cullen is clearly their guy or Sheahan wouldn't be so grossly mishandled this year.

Hayes? Hell yeah. I mean who here wouldn't want Hayes? Hayes will be the consolation prize once Duchene gets moved and the Rangers will probably get more than they should for him.

Between Hayes, Zucc, Duchene and Stone, the Rangers and Sens should be going up to the podium a lot in the first round.

Thinking about this Muzzin stuff some more, I'm not for it. I mean, I would obviously be glad if he was added since he's an upgrade, but if the Pens decide to go after defense it should for a RD.

Maatta and Pettersson next to two quality RDs would be a major difference IMO.

Well he doesn’t like skilled, exciting hockey.

He likes knuckle draggers and mouth breathers making big hits 10 seconds after the puck leaves and terrible hockey players that lay down to block shots because they can’t get out of their own zone.

With the game moving away from poopty unskilled hockey players, why would he continue to watch?
