Nah, no chance. They have so many big-name injuries this year including: Raanta, Demers, Schmaltz (who I think had 14 points in 16 games before getting hurt), Richardson (I hear he broke his hand), Dvorak hasn’t played a game yet this season. Their PK and goaltending has really allowed them to hang around this season. Chayka’s asset management has also been pretty solid. It’s really not his fault this team hasn’t succeeded. Last year to start the season was the same story, they were just so injured. Once they got healthy they were one of the better teams the second half of last season.

Panik and Oesterle should be trade targets for teams in need of depth but I don’t see them doing much. Some mentioned wanting Panik coming over here.. he fumbles the puck just as much as Sheary does but he’s not nearly as fast. His decisions with the puck are extremely questionable. He’s a somewhat effective 3rd liner who got to play in the top 6 for a bit and didn’t succeed while doing it. He reminds me of Burrows AFTER he went to Ottawa and fell off

On trading Brass: looking at the standings and makeup of the teams in playoff contention, Dallas is the only team that really makes sense. Other than them, I think all of these other teams would rather wait until the offseason and pick him up for nothing

Getting outworked again

This was only with Guentzel as the other winger, which isn’t ideal. Sheahan has good chemistry with Guentzel, Hornqvist, Sheary, Rust, Wilson, Grant. I wonder how he’d do with Simon. Either way I like Sheahan, always have. I still think Spezza solves all the problems

I wouldn't touch the 1st line. Rust was pretty meh before finding chemistry with Sid and Jake.

Rust is streaky. I think this last streak started with him on the 3rd in Chicago. He’s gonna be a streaky scorer no matter what line he’s on. Im open to anything that gets 2 and 3 going
