Late to the convo but have to throw this out there. As a senior field tech (more ways than one) I have seen the comfortable older guys just do enough to get by.
I also hate the “we’ve always done it this way” attitude.
I’m currently training a millennial pretty good kid good head on his shoulders.
In my field it’s about thinking ahead, don’t make twelve trips to the van because your head is somewhere else. Get everything you’ll need the first time. Check all the equipment if possible and not just what your working on.
If you don’t know ask. I still call other techs if I’m not sure about something.
Even if you hate your job you still have to take pride in your work. Looking at you Dale Weise lol.

My point is being proven, your mentality is the more money you have the better the person is. Clearly you have to work harder to make more money, the more you make the harder you work, right?

So you are saying that the kid making millions on Minecraft YouTube video is a harder worker than you? I have a friend who makes around 10K a month for posting 1 photo on Instagram, she's a harder worker than most people?
