Hmm interesting twist. Seems like you are trying to fight multiple fights at one time here.

I feel like you get this tag a lot and that's why it upsets you so much. Just curious is it the internet or do you hear this a lot in real life too? I do find it more interesting because you are literally right on the cusp of what separates generations and trying justify for the actions of others that just happen to be in the same age range designated by a study group.

I believe the cutoff between GenX and Millennials is 1982, do you really find that life experience is that much different between 1981 and 1982? Wouldn't you agree there is a bigger difference between a 1983 birthday and say a 1996? I mean maybe it is just me, but I would say there is a huge difference in mentality from say me and....someone born in 1901. Maybe that is just age discrimination to you.

- Glak18

Well, someone born in 1901 would likely be pretty decomposed so....

Just curious, are you willing to share how your son described a poor person?
- Glak18

A person that doesn’t have money. They cannot buy things so maybe they trade if they have something. Maybe grow their own foods if they can or live off fish and berries. Only has the clothes they are wearing and maybe one other change. May have to build their own house out of logs.

Most people don’t pay off a house. They just buy one that matches their salary/monthly payments.

Are you seriously trying to debate a hypothetical question?

Most people don't pay off a house....EXACTLY!!!!!!!!!!!!

If most people DIDN'T have a mortgage they would have less stress due to financial reasons. How many people hate their jobs or their boss or their company, but can't leave because they need the money for their bills? That sounds like a lot of stress to me.

Some drugs should be legal do we don’t waste money punishing dudes that just like to get high

Weed is legal in Canada and in some states. Personally I dont like how all over the place it is. Some harmful drugs are illegal and some are not. Why can I choose to give myself lung cancer or destroy my liver but I cant snort a line of coke off a hookers butt crack! Gotta wonder how much money is spent on us failing to prevent drugs and failing at it.

I'm 35, work for a fortune 500 company. The products that my business unit design have a 85% market share (on average). I am the only mechanical engineer in this office (3 total across the 3 business unit sites) and therefore take on all R&D roles (including analyzers that cost upwards of $200K), the manufacturing engineer, the custom solution design engineer, and hazloc certification engineer.

Geez, I am so lazy and spoiled and just have everything given to me. If only I had to work harder and handle some responsibility.

Edit: There are peaks and valleys, so some weeks have more hockeybuzz time than others.

I didnt even have an economics class in school. Schools are wasting our time with useless poop. You would think Finance would be a subject. Learning about the stock market, investing and half the mumbo jumbo said in banking ads. I literally understand non of it. But at least I had 13 years of religion.......

I have always said tax money should include college. Free college tuition means no excuses for being jobless.

Wall Street would be screwed if everyone was an educated investor. Financial advisors would be done to start with. Most of their advice is useless

Free college only works if the costs of education are brought down for the tax payers

I seriously want to get into your brain and pick away, your thought process is fascinating. Did the hamster die mid-run?

Money makes life less stressful, happiness is up to the person.
- Glak18

Money makes life less stressful

Money doesn’t make life less stessfull cause everyone tries to steal it from Wall Street brokers to politicians
- 2Real

Money doesn’t make life less stessfull

Anyone feel free to answer....

1) You have a paid off house
2) Zero debt
3) All you have to do is worry about normal everyday expenses

Who here would take all 3 and find themselves less stressed in life?

- Glak18

1) You have a paid off house

Most people don’t pay off a house. They just buy one that matches their salary/monthly payments.
- 2Real

This is where the hamster had a stroke. We are discussing a situation based off SOMEONE/ANYONE having lots of money then turned it around to "Most people". Who the (frank) cares about most people in this situation, we are talking about a situation where SOMEONE/ANYONE has enough money to have a paid off house. If you have tons of money and don't have a paid off house then you suck at life or living way beyond your means...that's the person's fault, not money.

This is self explanatory, a hypothetical scenario explained again not relating to what most people have, but if they had lots of money because remember...
