I pretty much agree with this. It's a hard call. - JRR1285
I wouldn't trade him for a 3rd rounder
I would trade him for a second rounder and a decent prospect though, which seems to be the prevailing opinion
and if they use that 2nd rounder again on a goalie that will never play I will get arrested |

How about if Zucc signs for $3.5M per for 3 years without a NTC/NMC? |

I'd applaud it

Give the 2nd round pick or better. He's 31 and will soon be on the downside of his career. Great person, good player. But it's time to move on. |

I just wonder if Zuke was asked would you re-sign with the Rangers knowing they are bit away from competing or like to get traded to a contender to possibly win a cup, what he would say. I have to believe at his age he would want to try to win a cup. |

maybe, but they'd have a lot of other priorities, definitely wouldn't be July 1st activity
could be a case of him "ending up" back on the Rangers over lack of offers |

I wonder if the Rangers would even want him back? Not that they don't love the guy, but they may not want to come close in money/term to what he could get on the open market. There's a lot of young kids that are going to need playing time moving forward and he may just not fit into the equation. |
