Listen smart ass, there's always a straggler who doesn't see the game or misses something. I provide the evidence if people want to go back and talk about it. It generates discussion if I miss something or get a name wrong. The post got 5 people talking. - I Am The Breadman

That was quite the 2nd save in that sequence just before the goal - pdx2ord
If Delia cleans up his stick side low corner shot he can be a great one |

Delia doing all he can from letting Wilson find the back of the net.
Orlov made it 4-2. - I Am The Breadman

Apparently you can as long as the Hawks are in the lead
But, seriously, I think we're lately seeing the result of teams being able to scout him and find the weaknesses. - pdx2ord
His turn to adjust, now - huh?
Let’s see if he can.
He’s not looking nearly as smooth and in control as he did in his first several games even on the saves - not as positionally sound, not as economical and quick in his mevements.
Still making more saves than not. |

It's so odd that Delia is either an absolute legend or a softy today. What a crazy sequence prior to that goal - Hawks_49

Every goalie has weaknesses. He's clearly got the talent to play at this level. Now it's the coaching staffs job to work on his weaknesses |

The highlight reel saves don’t matter if you don’t stop the ones you should - LAHawk
Yeah, a real big trade-off. Like being top of the league then bounced in the first round ... heavy sigh. |

NHL is great at finding a players weakness, he's already better than a third of the leagues starting goalies and if he gets better like CC did, he can be something else |

no question...but all goalies even the real good ones have some weak ones get past them...
holtby is exhibit A...he can be great and allow the weak ones...
delia will be the hawk starter by then end of next year...

Reminds me of how the book on Corey was high glove side for the longest time. He cleaned that up and became a top 5 goalie |

It absolutely generates discussion. Ignore anyone who wants to complain or make a thing of it. Let em get worked up over nothing - Hawks_49
Big D feels like a big man for picking on the youngest of the board. It's alright. It's like Chara sitting on players because he can't skate. He's only effective if he has someone under his big, old ass. |

Yeah. . .I had asked if Waite was the coach at both the NHL and AHL level. If not, do you guys think Waite is teaching him a new style? One that may not actually be his best?
ETA: no slam on Waite, who from all evidence is an excellent goalie coach. . .but coaches can get into a rut too, trying to fit everyone into the same style that has worked for others |

Every goalie gives up bad goals. It is how they respond that matters. That was the problem with Forsberg last year, he didn’t ‘t have the mental toughness to bounce back. Let’s see if Delia has. |

So far, looks like Delia has that ability. With Forsberg, you could see him get flustered and upset after the first 1-2 goals. Fingers crossed. |

If Joki was out there, Delia would not give up soft goal!!!!
Bring Back Q !!!! - TrueGrit
Two things can be true at the same time. Delia gave up a soft goal. It doesn’t change the fact that Abbott & Costello failed twice to get the puck out of the zone.
And yes, if Q was the coach, Joki would be playing first pair, Gus would be a 3rd pair PP specialist, and the team would have a significantly better record.
Please explain the awesome qualifications that Colliton has to lead one to believe that he is a qualified NHL head coach. Is it the 6th and 7th place finishes in the Euro second tier league? Or taking the Ice Hogs to the conference finals, after the Hawks sent down some NHL reinforcements. Plus, he still lost.
Collision sucks. |

That's a great point. Delia has the demeanor of a guy that can let it to and move on. Let's see if he does |

Forsberg, it looks to me, like he is mentally shakey. He let's in a goal, then the mistakes pile up. He over plays his net, can't handle the puck. I know goaltending is all mental, but he can't overcome it, yet. |

If Q was still coach, Keith would still be running the power play on the first unit.

Very true, I'm impressed with the kid, based on his post game interviews he wants the reps at this level saying it's the only way I'll get better. Im sure those 2 goals he'll review and realize what he's doing wrong |

While you may believe the latter half of that statement, you don't know that anymore than you know Q would be playing Gus on the 1st unit PP. For all anyone knows the first pair would still be Keith and Seabs. |
