Amazing what he can do with someone standing in front of the net. - tvetter
Caligula seems to have a good feel for screening the goalie while standing in the crease. ....... The way Kaner has played this yr, and Toews played today, most players would be effective on that line. Nice to watch the energy Caligula brings to the top 6 while it lasts.

How good was Jokiharju early in the season? Joel Quenneville likely knew he was coaching for his job, and he still had faith in Jokiharju to put him on the top pairing with Keith and play Jokiharju 20-plus minutes on most nights. Jokiharju and Keith thrived as a pairing and remain the Blackhawks’ second-best pairing this season with a 53.32 Corsi percentage (min. 50 minutes), according to Corsica. The best pairing happens to be Jokiharju and Erik Gustafsson with a 54.46 Corsi percentage. |

So far they're running the game plan they need to...running the ball effectively and keeping Mahomes on the bench. |

One possession for the chiefs in the 1st quarter. Impressive game planning by the Pats

In typical NFL fashion, refs blew game for Saints with 1.30 left.... - TrueGrit
Sure but Rams have 2 time outs left and he throws the ball? Under 2 minutes to go, Terrible last 3 play calls by Payton before field goal

Does not change the bad call. I agree with you. |

I do agree it was a bad non call, to me as a coach you can't trust the refs to make that call, but that's just me |

Never smart to bet against the Master Deflator at QB with Coach “I tape your practices and steal your playbook” |

No it's not, but have to admit i really like his game plan of pressing all the players at the line of scrimmage |

One league executive thought the Blackhawks were taking the right approach with Jokiharju.
“I am fine with it, it’s the (Steven) Stamkos program,” the league source said. “He needs to get stronger.”
Jokiharju’s strength and willingness/ability to absorb physical play has been an issue scouts have noticed this season. After a Winnipeg Jets game earlier this season, a scout said, “He looked sh-scared to me. He got hit early and wanted no part of the puck after that.” |

Blackhawks played game 50 today; about 61% of their schedule. Kane scored his 70th point. 32 games from now, if everyone keeps roughly their same scoring pace, the team might have one player - Toews - with at least as many points then as Kane has right now. He's just incredible. |

Near the end of Q's tenure as coach, he mentioned that he wanted to be careful to limit the number of minutes Jokiharju was getting because he's still young and developing. I agree with that approach, I'm just not sure that's what JC is doing, especially given he flipped him to his off side for the first time in his professional career recently. If you're wanting to give the kid support in his development, consistency will go a long way.

He needs to play instead we have Koekkoek out there who screens his own goalie.
And can i have 1 forward block a shot? WTF |

I think it's more of that front office getting in the way, they let him play for his country and then they trade for this bum Koekkoek and the worst part is Seabrook is stealing his development minutes.

And yet we will get 100 posts from now until Tuesday from Hawk fans wondering why he is not playing 27 minutes a game. NO doubt the kid has great potential, but lets not act like he has more than his fair share of struggles on the ice. |

Pretty sure there was no way the Pats would shut them out. The fact that they did for a half is impressive. Mahomes was running for his life in the first half. If they can protect him like they did on that drive... |
