Accidental hit into the boards. Guy finished his check, not McLeod, and Perlini lowered his head and fell awkwardly. He wasn't bracing for the hit. - I Am The Breadman
After Toews was sent sprawling without response, kinda sensed the jig was up. Who had the stones to make a move? Just from an optics perspective, it stunk. Murphy gets it, and will occasionally get involved. Am not a big proponent of fisticuffs, but there are times when opponents take a "read" on where you are coming from. We did not answer them. They drew a few simple conclusions of their own. So did I. |

Kampf almost flew into the Rangers' bench. I don't like hits like that, too close to dangerous. There wasn't a response, but I feel like there are too many clean hits in open ice that teams take the wrong way and instantly leads to fights. Those I don't like. Would have been nice to see some hits back, but if I haven't seen it from them in the beginning of the season, I'm not going to expect it in the end of the season. |

The response to a legal clean open ice check has become outrageous, Bread. At other times, sometimes all that is required is a few of our guys heading over in a show of force/disapproval. To the extent that sometimes we do absolutely nothing, makes it look like that as a team, we aren't on the same page. They should always be protecting each other. It doesn't cost a thing.

Jurco didn't work out, but that's essentially the kind ion trades they were able to make at that point in time. Taking a gamble on a former highly rated player for a third to see if a new environment gave him a new lease on life. - HawkintheD
Hawks still have rights to Jurcos 3rd child...so may have to wait to evaluate that trade a tad bit longer.... |

There was an article months back that talked about how the team (2010?) were so close with each other and fought for each every night they stepped out on the ice. Love the cups, but do miss hearing stuff like that. Team closeness. |

Sometimes wonder out loud about the closeness of this particular squad. Which is why I think trading a CORE player would be highly beneficial for everyone's sake.

The kid is a college waif who's played against boys never men. He'll be a bust like every other college prospect the Hawks have had. Have another glass of Kool Aid.

Keith, Toews and Sharp all played college...

I'm on the fence about that. I see and respect the arguments for both sides. |

Thanks for the cue, Breadman. Haven't posted much the past few days; short staffed at work so pretty busy lately. Anyhoo.

You're Kane with the nifty pass, I'm DeBrincat with the backdoor one-timer. I can only fire wicked shots like that in analogies, never on the ice in a real game.
Yes, I believe Schmaltz was #1 last year on this Top 25 Under 25 list. |

Like strome a lot just needs to work on a explosive first step in the offseason and full training camp could be second or 3rd line center depending who the hawks pick. Kappo! |

Slow your roll, cowboy. Hahaha. There is only one Kane and you aren't talking to him. Adb AEL, ehh, close enough.
I thought Schmaltz topped the charts, thanks. |

I loved that show. I still catch re-runs of Whose Line is it Anyway late at night. Always funny. I think he had Joe Walsh on an episode or two, another Cleveland guy. |
