Evander Kane's deal was 7 for 7. They are the same age with similar stats.

7 years is a long time. Not sure JB will go that long. Skin really needs to like Jack and want to be here. - Tragically Buffalo
We need him more than he needs us
Meaning...
sure, this is a great situation for him to play with Jack- but he’ll get his $$$ from someone
If we lose his scoring... yikes!
I think he get 7-8years and 8mil+ |

I like him at $8M-8.25M. If it takes $8.5M then Botts should consider moving him or biting the bullet. Anything more then 8.5M I say thank you for your contribution and we’ll talk on July 1st and see if you still feel that way. In the meantime we’ll take another first rounder. |

"I was suspended for disciplinary reasons, I didn’t show up for practice and a game. It was a correct suspension, I didn’t know how to act in another way. I needed to get home, I needed a break from hockey and I needed help.”
This may be one of the more important things he said and good for fans to hear, “I want to say that I am very sorry that I left and betrayed Buffalo as a team. The players were wonderful and I wish every player and the organisation all the best for the future. They haven’t done anything wrong to me”.
He talked about how the trade from the St. Louis Blues really had an effect on this decision. He didn’t feel comfortable from the beginning and it grew to a point that he didn’t want to pretend any longer. - Boss34
Interesting... thanks for Posting.
Hope he's in a better place now.... |

True
7 years is the cap and 8Mil should be the max. Hopefully it gets worked out. |

Winning Contract for Skinner...
6 years @ $8.0m Cap Hit.
Term to me is big..I would go up to $8.5m for max of 6.
If 7 years is required, then $7.75 |

I just realized that Justin was traded yesterday.
They did right by the young man by giving him a fresh shot with another organization.
I had a feeling that he was going to be moved by the deadline. |

Laaksonen is playing over 26 minutes a night in the Liiga in Finland. UPL has two shutouts in the 3 games since the World Juniors and has won 11 straight in Sudbury. Jacob Bryson and Casey Fitzgerald are on the Hobey Baker list which includes the top 80 college players. Pekar has 36 points in 33 games for Barrie but unfortunately broke his collarbone and he’ll be out a while. Samuelsson had a goal in his first game back at Western Michigan. |

Lots of good games with some meaning to them before the Sabres play late. Let’s go Caps, Jackets, Senators, and Coyotes! |

Sorry to take everyone away from the crucial advanced stats debates but I have a friend who has a kid who is currently in the Sabres locker room.
I was texting sources 24/7 and picked up this-
Obviously, Sabres are out in Van City right now but here’s a little tidbit straight from the locker room.
Casey Nelson is in the room and he just traded his game used stick with the kid’s because they both wear number 8.
And... Miss Lippy.... her car is green. - Da_Cashman
That’s cool of him
And i hear Billy likes soda 😂 |

I totally get not wanting to overpay him
But if we do move him...
we’ve got A LOT of work to do finding goal scorers
Heck... we need a couple more as it is |

If we have to go 8yrs x 8.5mil,
then I’m ok with it
Not ideal... but we really need his scoring |

Good updates. I would also like to mention that Linus Weissbach is back from his hand injury at Wisconsin (11 points in 10 games). Brett Murray, although he was on a bad Penn State team last year, is back in the USHL and leads that league in scoring with 44 points in 32 games for Youngstown. And Marcus Davidsson is doing his thing again for Djurgardens, playing an important role for his team as a two way center and chipping in with 16 points in 32 games so far.
I like our prospect pool and with this year's draft it will look even better.

San Jose will make the playoffs so we'll get their 1st rd pick. They also have the option to retain the 4th rd pick in the Kane trade and if they do we get their 2020 3rd rd pick. Lots of variables but if I was to guess we will have 4 picks in the first 5 rounds.
Edit- here is a better breakdown.
1st rd- ours and San Jose.
2nd- traded in Skinner deal
3rd- conditional from Sheary trade. If Sheary scores 20 goals or 40 points or if Hunwick is traded by 2019 trade deadline, the 4th becomes a 3rd.
4th- San Jose has option as I mentioned above. |
