Never have I seen 4 goals scored into an empty net in one game... I guess all the sabres are on the break already. |

No $hit it's scandella Ray it's him half the time lol. One dude that should not be pinching in all the way behind the other teams net... Gorges 2.0 |

So imo, Girgs and Larsson are basically the same player. They have to pick 1 moving forward and Larsson is the better candidate atm |

Both needed until they bring in some better 2 way forwards. It's such a glaring weak spot.

2-way is a generous label for either. They're basically 1-way (defense) |

Point still stands, need better middle six two way players. Until then, they fill the void.

This is not a bad team. If they clean up some youthful mistakes, they are pretty damn good.
Don't give up hope. This team has way more to give |

Team defense isn't good enough Housley should check out what Trotz is doing with NYI |

Agreed. They're beating themselves lately. Bad mistakes, bad coverage.
They gotta do something with the PP. |

Pilut made a decision that any peewee coach tells his 8 year-old not to do, but he can produce, and he can learn. It's not that bad. This team is pretty good. |

This is the most I've hated this team since the beginning of last year when I was foolish to believe they were improved. After a month into last season I wised up and just watched because I like watching hockey. I've been frustrated with them at times but this broke the camels back for me. A game we clearly should have won, dominated the play almost all game yet we get too cute with the puck in their zone or we shoot it right at the goalie and then on our end we've got guys turning the puck over left and right and our goalie can't stop anything.
It was obvious to me before how badly we needed secondary scoring. But we actually got the rare game of secondary scoring today and still lost in regulation!!
Meanwhile inferior teams like the Islanders who lost the only star on their team in the off season and the Canadians are winning games left and right and leaving us in the dust! I'm so livid right now. |

I liked that line tonight. Okposo worked well with Girgs and Lars. |

The PP is a joke. They're holding onto the puck and sitting back practically praying a guy will get open. A good powerplay is constantly moving with the puck and the puck is being passed around very quickly in the other teams zone. We do none of those things. And when we do get a shot on, it's either wide by five feet or off a guys skate... |

With the exception of Pilut, the guys making most of the mistakes are hardly youthful. Dahlin's made some bad ones too but so have Scandella, Risto, Bogosian, Girgensons, Okposo, Sobotka etc. |

It's ironic shot attempts vs the Oilers and Canucks were 143-77 we got outscored 11-5. That Corsi guy is a jerk |

You're spot on with that.. Vancouver got the bounces tonight. Sabres played well, dominated at times, then they leave a guy wide open and the pucks in their net.
Gotta sharpen up. They'll pull it together when the break is over.
If Scandella could get his head out of his ass, that'd be a good start. |

Dahlin had a fantastic game imo. Watch his simple plays to drive guys wide or strip the puck. Also some efforless (looking) offensive moves.
Idk, the Sabres attempts from the slot, their TOA and all of that looked good to me. A few terrible plays sunk the ship, but I really believe this team has a 5 game win streak in them |

They'll need that and more to get back into the playoff race. It seems the Islanders and Canadians have decided they need to play good hockey consistently to make the playoffs and guess what? It's working! I'm thrilled we've got guys like Eichel, Dahlin and Reinhart but it just proves you have a well coached team with depth and a system the players stick to you're going to win games |

Yes... just bad bounces tonight. They had 3 goals on what, 9 shots? |
