To play devils advocate, his role as the teams older/bigger brother is something that will have to be replaced and I hope it's done before they move him.

They do have a 6'7 guy in Russia they can bring back for half the cost. Eventually it will be guys like Woo and McEneny replacing some of our current D but that is a few years off

The only disadvantage BC has IMO is the cost. Aside from that i'd choose it over everywhere else in Canada. I've had drivers licenses in 4 provinces so I guess i have some knowledge.
