Money on star players will never (frank) your cap situation. Bloated contracts to peripheral players will. - Lindenis#1
I preferred your post yesterday about middle range players instead

Horse sh!t. Those 29 year olds turn 35. Want to trade for Weber? Price? Toews? Kessler? Do I need to go on? |

Or you could spend that extra 3m in cap dollars on a player that actually helps you win.
Spending it on bottom liners compared to all stars doesn't help you win. |

Beagle isn't a middle range player, he's an elite 13th forward. |

So so short sighted. Although, you may get your wish as aquilini is desperate for playoffs. But you won’t be getting EK or panarin so lower your expectations. Panarin wants to sign for a big market US team, common knowledge. And I’d be shocked if EK wants to return to Canada |

Miracle of the draft. Get an inexperienced player and hopes he becomes as good at some point. |

New blog is up!
Canucks are holding a full practice today, and Petey is a full participant. So I'd guess he'll be back in the lineup on Sunday - yay!
That and a few thoughts on Thatcher Demko's great performance from Friday night, all here:

Panarin will be in NYR or Chi
Karlsson will be SJ or NY

Am I getting them with prime years left and then the normally long productive tail?
Then yes. |

Mid range in trades, not UFA.
Adding elite talent in UFA is fine. Adding Loui Eriksson's isn't. |

Panarin has zero interest in playing in Canada. Karlsson is equally as absurd. I love brilliant armchair GMs - CanuckDon
lol it's not just that...bringing in more albatross contracts isn't currently what this club needs but hey...not everyone gets it. |

86.9 cent for fuel here.
Housing is pretty much lifes biggest expense - manvanfan
I never owned a car until i moved outside of Vancouver proper. You just don't need one. Rent on weekends, transit, walk. It's 1.13 in Abbotsford, if you need to commute. Housing is a huge expense, although so is food and if you can subsidize housing with transportation costs, parking, hydro, etc. it cuts it in half. |
