Who’s that player the Leafs invited to camp and was a stand-out? And what happened to him? - Arctic_AARDVARK
Robbie Earl? I’m hoping great things. |

If the Leafs acquire Ferland, is he really an upgrade? Which line do you play him on?
Mathews or Kadri's line?

yes he would be... particular this year while playing for a contract... his style of play would be nice counterpoint the imbalance the Leafs currently have - to many smallish, quick forwards/wingers without any real grit.
if a deal could be made based around Brown or Johnsson, I would think that's something Dubas has to consider.
Ferland would bring some of the characteristics of what Hyman brings, but with more of an overt physical presence.

I know they had the best forwards together, but they still limited their ice time. Tampa lets the number one unit stay out until they decide to get off. It's a different style.
Also, anyone else notice that the Leafs play and chemistry started to decline when Nylander came back? - aminnes
Yes - everyone who wasn't comatose noticed. |

Would also consider trading Hyman and Kadri unless Babcock can get Kadro going again....Hyman...as you can see he is a business man with all the other things he has going on which in my mind will eventually take a toll on his game plus when his contract is up he will want more than what the Leafs will be willing to offer him - Leafcup
ya... no!
two best contracts on the team, virtually the only forwards with a bit of physical presense at all.
you want to trade them because they might be distracted.
time to give your head a not so gentle shake

Id have him on the 3rd line with Kadri and Kappy.

I agree we need less chicken-poops on the the team, Johnsson and Brown add something to the team, what do Par Lindholm and Gauthier add? Maybe a goal every 40 games or so. (frank) em, bring up Marchment, at least there can be an answer when liberties taken. |

He has lots of unused potential - at the end of the day, not enough "willing to suffer to get it done" Several Leafs looked that way against a dreadful team yesterday |
