Nylander is 22. Is already miles better than Andersson. The day Kyle Dubas makes that trade is the day he gets fired.
Offer that deal up in the Leafs thread. I'm dying, DYING to see the responses. - tomburton99
If I would’ve told you last year Nash would get us a 1st Lindgren Spooner and Beleskey u would’ve died laughing. U seem to know the exact value of every player. I’m only tossing a proposal out there to spark conversation and all u do is act like a douche about it.
I'm sort of shocked the Oilers extended Koskinen for 3 years at a $4.5M AAV, after just writing earlier today upon research, that neither he nor Talbot as UFA's this summer were likely to be re-signed given their sub par play, despite Edmonton's woes on their back line.
In seeking goal tending help beginning in past weeks & still today for next season and beyond, the Oilers likely tried unsuccessfully trading both as rentals, (mainly in Talbot's case), in exchange for draft picks. They will still likely attempt to find a taker for Talbot, should a playoff or Cup contender's backup get injured being their best hope. He desperately needs both a change to a better "scenery", and to be only viewed as again as a backup like he formerly was for Hank.
Talbot has lost his confidence and playing mechanics he had as a Ranger when under Allaire's guidance, while also benefiting from the Rangers back then having top NHL core d'men units. He now is constantly down on the ice while play is deep in his zone, and fails to get set sufficiently & in time in position to react timely and properly mechanics wise on many shots.

I stayed off here for months, come back and he’s still a jerkoff. Talking about trade proposals instead of who we can draft 1st overall bc at 14 years old these kids in 6 years are going to make us better is acceptable. We should just suck suck suck, tank tank tank, I hate them when they win, makes for a very enjoyable blog.
NY Rangers scouting Avs again today @BSNDenver - jimbro83
What is still unknown is if first and foremost, whether or not Hayes is willing to sign long term to play nearly cross country in Colorado as the Avs #2 Center. The return from the Avs will be obviously lower if a trade would only be for rental purposes for the balance of this season. The Avs' strength & glut is up front on their pro roster, along with forward prospects' depth at the minor league level.
Hayes has already expressed his desire to remain with the Rangers. Outside of assuming Boston being a favorite landing choice of his, little is known as to any other locations he would prefer as long term destinations. Unless that word is out there, but being kept secret in boosting his trade return value, I would still attempt to extend Hayes long term. That, given the Rangers need for his all around two way and multi roles game, including his puck possession, face off skills, and offensive production, whereby he simply needs to shoot the puck more when presented or earning a great scoring opportunity. Then with greater goal scoring numbers as well, he will be viewed as a #1 center for more teams than just the Rangers.

We all see where tanking for so long led the Oilers to as a result, especially in the number of playoff series won, yet alone just the total number of playoff games won, since beginning that tanking plan of their's years''''''''''''''' ago.

There are one too many others in addition to "rangers9479" also battling the main one comprising every "YOU TWO" on here, who have been deeply involved in that tanking debate.
Welcome back, t.j., & please remain kind only, so you will also remain "warm" and free of frostbite while out on your mail delivery route on Tuesday.
That's good news on Kravtsov being Craig Button's #1 prospect.
But there is no way that Colorado is going to include d'man, Cale Makar, (Button's #3 overall ranked prospect, and his #1 ranked overall d'man), in a trade to acquire Kevin Hayes, unless the trade is of larger size in nature, (or also involving another team), resulting in more than just Hayes going their way.

It’s definitely who I’d be asking for. He would likely be part of a bigger deal.

I agree in asking for Cale Makar if the deal were to have more than just Hayes going their way from them in a larger size trade, or with getting a 3rd team involved to also send the Avs some asset(s) that the Rangers may not have, but can send in part to that 3rd team. However, relating to Colorado, the Rangers were mainly scouting the Avs games only, with the exception of their AHL team recently for one game, as I believe Jim had posted earlier right on this blog on Monday.
So the Rangers may still need to see more of Makar's play in the AHL, prior to deciding which way to go if the Avs indeed want Hayes, and feel they can extend him long term, which will increase Hayes' trade return value received from them.

I remember hearing reports after they acquired that first rounder from Arizona for Stepan 2 years ago that day they desperately tried to trade up even higher to grab Makar but couldn't pull it off.
If they could trade for him now, I think they would do it in seconds, not needing to see him in AHL
I believe they are scouting Martin Kaut when they scout Avalanche AHL games....
All,
Had an idea for a blog series this week, wanted to get your views. Think this has kind of started but wanted to formalize it. One player per day, everyone proposes their best trades in the comments section, in terms of return and team. I run a blog poll the next day and we vote on which one makes the most sense, is the fairest and likely to occur.

Great idea. Go for it. This would actually help organize the 1k proposals over the few weeks.
