Haha TSN has a video of McDavid titled "McDavid not interested in criticizing officiating in the media". They then write in the description that he sustained a cut to his eye that didn't receive a penalty...didn't he get that cut from Gio? And didn't Gio get a double minor for it? Get off McDavid's Richard. The refs called every (frank)ing thing last night. Even Hathaway for getting hit by Lucic into Koskinen. Still don't know how he got a penalty there. - Ol_Boy_Wop
He also high-sticked Hamonic but all they kept talking about was how Hamonic was playing him rough... they always try to make him the victim. |

So I posted this trade proposal last week.
To Calgary - Mantha (1 more year making 3.3 mil)
To Detroit - Frolik and Kylington
Mantha has had some major issues with consistency but his next year is a contract year. He would look pretty good parked in the slot on the 2nd line. - DuranDuran
I wish! No way Detroit takes that. They've been waiting for him to be good for a while now. |

After his second major concussion he changed his game. Used to be a lot more physical. - DuranDuran
Yeah, he's kind of gone back to it a bit here because he's angling for that big payday, but the guy seems to be getting more susceptible to these things as it's going on. It's very concerning. |

LOL, oh my god, Spooner now on waivers in Edmonton. They turned Jordan Eberle into literally nothing. What a poop show that front office must be these days.
Rattie also on waivers... Odd that with the Oilers apparently struggling to score outside the top line, that they can justify letting any forwards go.
I'd be so pissed as an Oilers fan right now... |

Looking to make an impression on new teammates as well I'm sure. Love Ferly, but that style takes a toll and is why guys like Lucic slow down so much with age. I'd be very concerned handing out any kind of term to him. 3 years max IMO.
Heard that he was asked about playing against Chucky this week and pretty much said that he wouldn't want to have to pop him for taking liberties, but still would if need be. Love that kind of player. Willing to smack his buddy around in an effort to win and protect his mates. |

I see Clyde’s boy Glughead had some more meaningful contributions in the game.

You know it’s going to be 5 things crap again. Lots of other good Flames info out there. |

Edmonton can't defend, either. They really can't afford to be dropping players in any position right now, and need to upgrade everywhere besides maybe in goal. Turning Eberle into literally nothing is terrible asset management and this screams panic move.
I'm amazed Chiarelli still has a job with how badly he's screwed the team this year. Absolutely terrible job. |

Probably a couple of games in Stockton, then I guess Kylington goes down ? Good problem to have, too many (4) good young D on the team. |

Yeah for sure. Man it’s hard to send Kylington down...love his speed and he seems to keep getting better imo. Imagine he’s going to be part of a trade at sooner than later. Sucks not really knowing exactly what we got in Valimaki. I’m sure he will turn out to be a solid top 4. |

The koskinen signing really just (frank)ed us sideway. Ritter could argue for that much now |

That's a pretty risky deal for a goalie who's only played half a season of NHL hockey. It does give Rittich a comparable too, but let's see how he does in playoffs first. |

Very true. Thankfully he seems like the type of guy who would take a team friendly deal. |

Except Rittich is RFA so that should save Calgary a bit. |

Rittich also seems like the kind of guy who might be okay with taking a team friendly deal. If he proves himself in the playoffs I think I'd be okay with a contract similar to Koskinen's as it is, but we also have Bennett and Tkachuk this season who should both get raises (and in Tkachuk's case a substantial one). It'll be a tight fit but Tre has a good track record with RFA signings, so it should be fine.
Way too early to be worrying about that right now anyway, though. There's a lot of season left to play. |

Plus it's Chiarelli. Definitely high risk with less than half a season in NHL and 30+. |
