Would he just put Marner with Matthews already ffs. - Archaic
Should also try Nylander with Tavares. Babs will just keep his lines and rotate brown and Nylander between 2nd and 4th line and wonder why nothing changes. |

I agree with you that the play was probably offsides but you were saying the puck was a foot back and his skates were clearly in. Even in this pic you just posted the stick is obstructing the view of the back of his skate. - HealthyScratch6
On the broadcast they showed a paused video clip that shows it and its further along in the sequence |

He needs to get Matthews going. They are cheating on him because he has no linemates |

That shows him onside. The difference was literally millimetres.
I wonder what the difference would be if they filmed the games at 60fps rather than the 22fps they currently do? A greater resolution would have helped there. |

It’s clearly offside, but it’s close enough for them to say it’s “inconclusive.” The refs hate overturning calls. |

Yeah that's the one on the broadcast, the foot isn't clearly over the line there. Then the next frame both are over the line. The blue line cam is even more clear, the puck crosses before the skate. - 13sundin13
His foot is over for sure. They showed paused close up on broadcast
Yeah and the next frame both are over( and he hasn’t touched puck yet, thus offside) |

For all the accusations of Babcock being stubborn, he's mixed up the lines to the point where the players are showing no rhythm together. Brown, Johnsson, Marleau, Nylander, Hyman, Kapanen have all been on multiple lines. Some of them have been on different lines in different periods. |

Honestly I don't even care anymore I just watched that other thing you posted and that didn't look conclusive to me either. Either way if it was offsides it was by like less than an inch. Not super obvious like you're making it out to be. |

It doesn't matter if he touches the puck or not. All that matter if both skates are across the line completely before the the puck crosses the line completely. |

How does that show onside? Shows him past the line and no puck on stick. |

Leafs have literally had 3 or 4 goals called back that were closer than that
. (frank) sakes one of them you couldn’t see were the puck was

Watching them play, both ends of the ice, I am starting to believe that is true.
They are surviving SOLELY on talent, and as teams are now in mid-season form, talent without structure is not good enough.

It pissed me off too when the leafs got their goals called back but I'm only talking about this specific goal. That pic you posted is the closest thing to showing it offsides conclusively but the stick being in the position it's in you can't see the white ice between skate and the blue line. Next frame both are in. If you have to assume the skate is in its not conclusive so you can't overturn a call. That's my opinion anyways so agree to diaagree. |

sick of the Matthews excuses.
Watch him skate out there, and basically give up on every puck that is out of the reach of his stick.
This is not the same guy he was.
