No guts, no heart.

No mystery. We have seen that the past two playoffs.

That's why I don't want Sandin, Bracco, Liljegren and multiple 1st round picks being traded. Not sure how much different Muzzin is gonna make

It pissed me off too when the leafs got their goals called back but I'm only talking about this specific goal. That pic you posted is the closest thing to showing it offsides conclusively but the stick being in the position it's in you can't see the white ice between skate and the blue line. Next frame both are in. If you have to assume the skate is in its not conclusive so you can't overturn a call. That's my opinion anyways so agree to diaagree.

The next frame he still hasn’t touched the puck.

sick of the Matthews excuses.

Watch him skate out there, and basically give up on every puck that is out of the reach of his stick.

This is not the same guy he was.

- Aetherial

On the bright side, everyone can shut up now about him possibly getting more than McDavid on his next contract. Not happening.

His foot is over for sure. They showed paused close up on broadcast

Yeah and the next frame both are over( and he hasn’t touched puck yet, thus offside)

- burn

To me, not from that image, there's no clear white space between the foot and the puck.

Looked for a pic, found this one.

Both feet clearly past the line, puck still not in the zone hasn’t received the pass yet. Clear as day, and he doesn’t touch the puck for another foot or so. He’s already clearly offside here and it’s even worse when he finally plays the puck

- burn

Close.
But back skate is on the blue line.

absolutely agree.

This team is showing they are nowhere near a contender.

Way too many guys not playing up to par.

Are you starting to believe the team is just tuning out Babcock? It is a different world not than when he coached the wings and I am starting to wonder if he is the problem.

None of these players will make the Leafs harder to play against. They'll only be useful for cap reasons.

no, he's both overrated and also the most valuable player in the league so he'll get league max. he sucks though.

im blaming this teams performance on babcock.

he's a dinosaur in a fast evolving game.

- Arctic_AARDVARK

Who could replace him through? Paul McLean, Kevin Dinnen or Dallas Eakins?

Yeah they might be. To be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if Matthews preferred to play in the states. Not based off anything, just wouldn't shock me.

Either way, the cap crunch other team's fans predicted we were gonna have, probably ain't happening.

97, actually. He had a new one delivered the next day, which he was immediately seen driving without his seat belt.

It blows my mind, too.

2 good defensive plays from Matthews, makes a nice move to get a good backhand shot against. But he didn’t score. So he sucks.
