Phil Kessel has a more physical edge to his play than Nylander.
Nylander is a guy that won't help you win a Stanley Cup - period.

Wow. Just looked again after a while. Still the least penalties and least PP. This league is so stupid.
- markmark

Well, one team has to have the least penalties.
Maybe teams just realized, lets not try to take penalties against the leafs. At one point their pp was good.

thats some galaxy brain poop

considering we heard how you can never win a cup with Kessel because of almost the same things people (you) are saying about Nylander

soft, one dimensional, not a leader...on an on and on

Watching the games i def feel like the Leafs deserved better in several of the loses the last 10 games.

Having a GM who is able to look at the underlying data and not just the record over that time so they can avoid stupid moves just for the sake of it is a good thing

- senstroll

They are under .500 in their past 20 games, i believe 9w 11L.
Also, how do you dubas is doing that and not trying to do a trade but just hasnt been to pull the trigger on one yet.

Im saying he could be trying to make a deal, just isnt able to. No trading partner, other team wanting off limit pieces etc.
We dont know that he is just sitting back and content with the underlying numbers like you suggested.

the refs being equally poop in every game doesn't really protect them from criticism when they are poop. the opposite really. style of play affects the impact of their poop-ness but i doubt they specifically (frank) over any single team. they try to (frank) everyone over.

- bixll

At the Coliseum it should be defcon 5 in there and a playoff atmosphere and before anyone says thats our playoffs, every game there is like that. And then theres brooklyn

Agree.
Overall, the refs for the nhl arent that great, consistently missing things in all games.
Ever since the games speed has really picked up, the reffing has been in a downward swing across the board

Speaking of refs.

Wouldn't want to be the NFL ref that completely ruined the Saints/Rams game.

He left the Islanders because Garth Snow failed him (and the fans) for 10 years by treating pajama boy like the spoiled special-talent that he was and by not complimenting him with another top talented winger and a real coach. We get it. He wanted a better chance to win a cup and the Islanders didnt seem like they were poised to do so. All of that has changed, tho, no? We will hate him for the gutless way he left the team-basically holding us hostage with his inability to commit to what he ultimately wanted. That will forever be his legacy and just wait until we play him at
the Coliseum....he’s in for a rude awakening if he thinks he’ll get a warm welcome.

Plus...he wasnt all that prolific on the Island and his defense was pretty awful....go look up his numbers...they tell the truth. Fact is, we are a better team without him and Barzal is already outpacing him (career-wise) and his contract will be a problem
for the Leafs moving forward.

No worse trolls on this site than you TO fans since the start of the season.

I came to this site to watch you all spout doom & gloom after losing to one of the worst teams in hockey and to see you “turn” like attack dogs on your own players. Such arrogance followed by saltiness is truly hilarious to witeness.

In case your memory is as Archaic as your name, we shut you out 2 weeks ago on YOUR ICE. Were we not the better team THAT DAY?

(goaltending excuses coming in 3....2....1..)

- jmo16

Oh man you are rich. We are troll experts over here you know, a month ago it was the Sabre fans, now the Islander fans, see you in a month and well see where you are

Also, I havent turned on our players, well be just fine, and finish ahead of the Islanders, dont worry you can go back to spewing your JT hate, but the fact is he left for good reason.
