leafs are still 7th in goals against lol. not bad for a slumping team with sub par d
- daeth

seems like a whole lot of yelling at clouds without much substance.

I want better players also, but you can just make it happen without another team giving you them

I think the leafs have 3 top 4 dmen...including a top notch number one already in reilly. I want a real number 2,3. Hainsey would look great as our number 5.

Based on what each team has in their minor league systems...i like Carolina and Vegas as trading partners.

do they address the issue of touching the other team in front of the net?

I would want them because they are good players. but he wants tougher players.

I would believe that with 100+ million you could have a wonderful time in a lot of places

I still believe as far as contention windows he made the right move. IMHO

I TOTALLY said that I understand he wanted a better chance at winning a Cup.
That's every players' right. It's been substantiated that he told NYI NOT to trade him last year at deadline.

Then he waits until Free agency to finally make his decision. THAT'S the part that has us all pissed and why he's persona non grata on the Island.

Please name 5 places in Toronto, hell in all of Ontario that people come from all parts of the world to see? Really....are you gonna argue there's more to do or that what TO has to offer is better than anywhere else in the world? really.....REALLY??????

how does a superior defensive team in washington have 12 more goals against than the leafs
- daeth

Maybe, as a team, their caresi is low?

Sometimes you lose to bad teams that happens, but I am talking about the majority of the schedule, not a couple games.

I guess the truth hurts... The Islanders are playing above their station right now, I still like them to make the playoffs however.

- Archaic

Their d is the best in the league and thats how you win in the playoffs.

can you at least give me a few examples of the players you have in mind?
- senstroll

I would look at guys that are a bit younger and not rentals as this club is not a true contender IMO. But it's hard to say who's available as I'm not a GM who knows guys that are available. Obviously Parayko would be nice. Faulk has some toughness. Manson. Gudas. Smith is okay, and a TO boy. Muzzin is older but has good pedigree. Again, no idea whether any of them or others are available but have to figure there could be a deal for someone out there.

yeah, I guess that makes sense..

We don't have a lot of touching of other teams players.

When I worked in a bar at closing time I would say "I don't drink in your bed so please don't sleep in the the bar" time to go.

Except they were still selling beer.

The bartenders and security were apologetic - claimed it was done centrally, they were trying to get it turned back on.

I blame Dubas.

Parayko
Pesce
Manson
Hamilton
Gudas

These are the dudes we should target.. Ideally, we can get two of them and really fix our right side.

LOL, you clearly know absolutely nothing about Toronto, or Canada. What exactly does New York have that is better then every place in the world...my god you are dense....You probably didnt even know that Toronto is the 3rd largest city in North America, yeah nothing to do.....

Also, why would he want to be traded? He had not made any decisions on leaving, so why would he leave? Its such a stupid argument. Its not like they went to him and said we want to trade you, can you waive....

P.S. Google is your friend.

LOL it's not just the net front presence. They are non-physical and weak on the puck. It's very obvious to me. Teams lump it into the corner and hem them in because they lose puck battles. That's what I see most games now.

Yea i have pretty thick skin but imagine a 14 year old reffing and making mistakes because like players that's how refs learn and then having an adult coach screaming at you and the parents. They can go work at subway and not get berated and threatened for doing a job
- Upstate_isles

I always tell the parents:

Your kids are well below NHL skill level.

Why do you expect the kids referring them to be at NHL skill level?

Yes. And going into next year the Leafs will need defence just to fill out the roster.

Both of you need to relax.

If I'm making $11 million a year, I can really enjoy living in Chernobyl.

Toronto is a great place to live if you have a lot of cake.

This.

poop happens. Good teams slump sometimes.

Will they turn it around? Well good teams do so they should.

If they don’t? Yeah we have a problem but I’d be surprised if they don’t. They have a lot of talent.
