The notion that one of the quickest most skilled teams don’t draw penalties is a joke. The leafs don’t take penalties so they don’t get calls. It’s assine.

Yeah the whole ref logic feeling the need to keep penalties even is completely retarded.

If one team isn't being disciplined, that's there own fault. Don't punish the other team with chinsey make up calls. It's a joke

Never.
We dont take as many penalties cause we have soft players who arent physical.
But seriously, the team overall isnt very physical or chippy....so less opportunity to get a penalty

Usually

And none of that has anything to do with getting a pp

The puck was a foot from the line, on edge is meaningless.

It was clear as day

Did you not watch the replay or what? There was no angle that showed the skates in and puck out.

On edge isnt meaningless, it usually makes it harder to tell.

They're on the wrong end of PP calls too.

Somebody posted a graph and because we haven't taken as many penalties, we're not getting as many PPs... so basically reffing is a complete BS popularity contest.

So when exactly are we replacing the zebras with robots?

- gravyface

Honestly it's crazy watching Leafs games with so much 5 on 5 play and then watch a game involving Winnipeg, Dallas, Colorado, Pittsburgh, Montreal and some others. So many PPs between the two teams

They slowed it down to two frames they were switching back and forth between. One showed the puck and skates in the other showed puck and skates on the line. Puck did look to be slightly behind his skates but there was no shot showing puck on the line skates in the zone so it was inconclusive. Right call was made.

Damn refs wanting an injured player off the ice as quickly as possible.

He should have pulled out his phone and called 911 instead.

The puck was a foot from the line when he touched it, and had both feet inside the blueline. Which means that on edge is meaningless
