Chia turned Ebs into Strome into Spooner into waivers/nothing
and that doesnt include Lucic contract, or the Reinhart/Barzal pick, or Talbot turning to poop... Whole lotta wrongs for Chia lately...

Agreed. Sit him against the Flames or the Oilers. Not in front of his (frank)ing parents. He’s 20. He’s a rookie. Can’t imagine how much this might affect him in confidence. Blashill basically is staying that he would be a failure in his family and friends eyes.

He’s a winger. Most wingers aren’t known for defense besides a select few like Zetterberg. He was good in possession and scored lots. That makes up for not blocking shots.

The Strome for Eberle trade wasn't awful. I understand the move. Strome made 4 million less or so. But tabernac he (frank)ed this team up. Even good trades such as Kassian for Scrivens backfired, because Kassian makes almost 2 million.

Lucic is overpaid, Kassian is overpaid, Sekera is overpaid and the list goes on.

It's (frank)ing pathetic.

The Talbot deal wasn't even close to as bad as the Reinhart one, and realistically Talbot is the only reason we made the playoffs that year. As bad as he has been lately, at least he had some value at some point. Most of Chia's work has been negative value.

The giving up Barzal and Belleveau (sp?) for Reinhart is what REALLY hurt this team in my opinion. Even if they picked two other players that would’ve still been good depth to have instead of letting Barzal/Belugawhale-worth-Reinhart get taken for free.
