He’s gonna costs asserts that we shouldn’t be giving up unless we plan on keeping him
But even if he would sign here,
he’s 31 to start next year
and good enough to demand a long term deal- or he just goes to UFA & likely gets it

He’s still a good player
But his contract situation & age,
plus what he’d cost to acquire,
Pretty much make him a TERRIBLE fit here

I don’t want Simmonds either. I was just posting what I saw. I hope any trade for anyone doesn’t include any of the first rounders. Package Nylander +Guhle for someone and I wouldn’t bat an eyelash at it.
