Nobody, he's not moving.

My uncle came to in town for 4 days and after the Sabres lost to the Canucks last week, his friend with the Sabres flew in on his way to the all start game. Found out some good stuff.

If they can get a legit 2C, borderline 1C, not someone like Derek Stepan who was a default 1C. I would do it.

I like the idea of going after a Ducks defenseman
I’m not sure who they’d move though
-Fowler just signed & is in year1 of an 8year deal with a NMC, so not happening
-Lindholm is their best defenseman imo, but he’s LH- so we’d have to move Dahlin to the right side... and he’ll cost a lot to get & i doubt they’ll move him
-Montour is only 24- so despite rumors, I’d guess they hang on to him
-that leaves Manson. Solid defensive defenseman. Shoots RH. Can play top pair minutes. But he has a very reasonable 4.1mil Cap hit for the next 3yrs- so idk of the Ducks would move him either?

Manson would probably be the best fit for us imo... IF the Ducks would trade him
Nylander + could possibly get it done?

Can get them another way. Risto type could end up a Chara type .

Did McKee miss the list for not washing his shin pads at least once a decade?

Good.

If we trade Risto, who the hell is going to battle in front of our net and get under the skin of Matthews, Crosby, McDavid etc? Bogo is the only other tough D that we have and he'll be gone at the end of his contract if not sooner.

I personally like the sounds of Dahlin/Risto for the next 8 years. Or Risto anchoring our second pair and second PP for the next 8-years. Free Risto and dump Okposo, Beaulieu, Bogo and about 6 others instead.

There's about 200 other NHLers who would want this slot...

....but muh diversity and inclusion!

Botterill is watching Erik Karlsson to see where it goes with the Sharks, there is interest.

I'll take this a step further. Daryl Shannon gets my nod for most unsung D man, along w Warrener. Shannon was (frank)ing SOLID, and always seemed to make the correct, simple play.
- Powerslave

Shannon was solid for sure.
How about ewe krupp?
