Jbotts mentioned "his core" as

Jack
Sam
Risto
Jake McCabe
*hopefully skinner

I definitely could see bogo moved out.

We couldn't wait to move him 4 months ago.

Bogo has had a decent season
-low hockey IQ
- moving him helps draft higher
-free up more $ for skinner next year

I think you're reading too much into interview comments. I don't think he's done much to tip his hand on who else is part of his core. Most of his decisions have been avoiding long term commitments and delaying the need to make those calls.

look at the top 9 and top 4 d for tampa, calgary, san jose, jets

then look at the top 9 for the leafs, islanders, bruins, caps

this team is not close for a push

move crap
obtain picks/prospects

hold onto the picks

don't do what tim murray would do

So my voice does make an echo, just two months later.

Who else would you really worry about?
Mitts?
Pilut?
Thompson?

Look at the rest of the roster and who would you be upset about losing.

Okposo
Pommer
Erod

I said this during the 10 game win streak

expectations were raised, but they were not realistic expectations

given the roster

The ringers nfl draft guide has Josh Allen at 8 overall

McBeane - make that move up to 7th overall and draft Josh Allen (again)

Jan Rutta has identical stats this season between Rockford and Syracuse. It's pretty neat.

8 games played, 1G, 3A, -2 +/-, 2 PIM for both teams.

We need to develop the players that we have.

Part of that development is exposing them to the NHL Playoffs. The NHL Playoffs are a different game than the NHL regular season.

There are trades for a first rounder that can be made to achieve that without acquiring simple rentals. We should make those trades.

You all discuss picks as if they are guaranteed value. They are not.

I'm fed the frank up with losing.

I'm with homie, I'd move anyone other than Jack and Dahlin for the right price. This isn't JB's core yet.

I understand the (maybe cynical) sarcasm, but a recent quote suggests he's totally open to trading down.

“It’s weird,” Beane said. “This year we’re in the top-10 and we don’t need to be. It’s funny how it all works out, but it’s nice to be able to focus a little more of our energy all the positions.”

Both Botterill and Beane share this somewhat opaque honesty. They answer your question without truly answering in black and white. But simple interpolation gives you a good idea on their thoughts.

Many examples exist.

Botts - Who are you drafting first overall? "Well, we want people to show up" Obvious shoutout to Dahlin
Botts - Casey's (Nelson) agent and I are close, and negotiations have gone very well. - Signed 2 weeks later
Botts - We're looking for a major culture change - ROR gone
Beane - Tyrod is a great teamate and we have a lot of respect for him and he's on the team right now - traded weeks later.
Beane - With 2 picks in the first round, there are a lot of options of where we can go, and if we identify a player worth moving up for, we will do our best - Moved up twice for Allen

Good post

I bet a team would move up and pay if they are in love with a player at 9. Especially if a team covets a qb there.

And both offer honesty without being a jackass like GMTM.

Myers is gone I should get over it.

After all the hoopla over that trade Kane is in San Jose and Myers is most likely wearing another teams jersey next season. If anything I miss Roslovic more then anyone in that deal. Hence why we keeps the first rounders and draft. Make a trade next year when we actually have a chance of doing damage.

Roslovic Career Stats:
79Games: 7Goals, 17Assists, 24points.

I'm overwhelmed.

I can name at least 60 NHLers who can match those stats.

Cmon Man.

It’s the kids first full season and for playing majority of the time in the bottom 6 with barely any PP minutes that’s pretty decent. Let’s see what he does next year with elevated playing time. He makes Bryan Little expendable.

So we have to wait until year four for him to be anything more impressive than “bottom 6 pretty decent”???

El Paso. No me gusta.

Right? And there are some on here who "want more from Casey".
