That’s another good one. For me, in no particular order, it’s:

Shameless
Ray Donovan
The Walking Dead
The Orville
The Man in the High Castle
Sneaky Pete
Archer

- BiggE

I'm taking out Ray, dead, and castle... I'll add Bojack Horseman, Vikings, and the Magicians.

No, it is you who didn’t read what I wrote. You will notice if you look without blinders that the word “only” was not there. Of course, size is part of a goaltender evaluation. I have never said that it wasn’t. There are many NHL goaltenders of Lyon’s size that have had great careers. Sometimes a direct comparisons between two prospects isn’t the most accurate way to evaluation one of them.

As I said, my opinion is based on my personal observation of Lyon (viewed in Charlotte, and on TV from some AHL games and all his NHL games) and stats. I have looked to see what scouting opinions are as well.

How about you?

"...Those attributes are what casual observers key off of to make their judgments"

Ok, can you explain what you mean here.

I have a 3 tv setup in my one office which includes both yearly packages for NHL and AHL games, I also stream games from the CHL, SHL, Allsvenskan, KHL, Liiga and lower amateur leagues. I also built a mini server rack for VOD recordings and DLNA server to stream through out the house. That's how I watch hockey every night.

Shameless - Love it
Ray Donovan - Never seen it
The Walking Dead - Haven't watched in a year
The Orville - Hilarious
The Man in the High Castle - No clue what it is
Sneaky Pete - I think that is Giovanni Ribis and watched one episode

OK, so you need to look up Man in the High Castle. I find it better than the books as I've never been a huge fan of alternate history fiction. That said, they do a really good job in this show. And that's not something I say very often.

I didn't think people would pick tv shows...I still haven't finished Stranger Things season 1.

I did start to watch The Runaways which I thought was interesting

I loved that it never talked down to me. It was fast paced, lively, and the sets, costumes, and acting were all really good. That's tough to maintain with a futuristic setting.

Sure, I mean that those attributes, like big or flashy, are the first thing someone notices.

So to be specific, how much have you seen Lyon play? My question was not how much hockey do you watch. As I can tell from your posts that you do in fact watch a lot of hockey.

The Man in the High Castle is intense. The book was good, but the show takes it to a whole new level and each season is better than the last.

Yes, at least the time jump has refreshed things and the intro of the Whisperers has potential to really ratchet things up

Well all of Lyon's NHL games, I'd say probably 60-70% of the Phantoms games and a lot of him at Yale prior getting signed as a UFA.

He has been playing decent hockey since Hart has been called up, but the issue I see with Lyon is not how he has been performing down there it is how he has played with the Flyers. Last year when he got a called up and he filled in nicely, but this year when used he still had the same issues that concerned me prior and that is his lateral movement. He is not strong with his push off for NHL standards. In college he was very good positional, but tends to over commit at times.

My sister and her friends always talk about Westworld, is that the Western robot one?

Also I just realized I don't watch as much tv as others

I read a lot more than I tend to watch, but anything sci-fi interests me. If you have a huge library than you must have Douglas Adams in there, but have you read Year Zero from many years ago?

I haven't. I have to admit I'm not a super fan of comedic books, I'll occasionally read them but they don't stick with me. I prefer ones that really make me think (although my library has it's share of fluff). So while I've read Hitchhiker's Guide it didn't imprint.
