I get the forechecking interference as protecting the D men, but the neutral zone obvious interference that’s never called is nuts
- sbroads24

That 'to protect the defenseman' allowance should be scuttled too.

There will definitely be some scorers. If Colefield was 6ft instead of 5’6 he’s a top 5 pick easily. He could be there in the 10-15 range if teams haven’t learnt from the Debrincant fiasco. Arthur Kaliyev intrigues me as he has probably the best release in the class. Raphael Lavoie is a big body that reminds me a lot of Corey Perry and would look good next to Eichel as well. Maybe one of Zegras/Boldy/Krebs/Turcotte(unlikely but maybe since he’s been injured it could help) could fall into our lap as well.

After the top4 guys,
I’ve seen projections range quite a bit
Even Turcotte was listed as low as 19th by one of the scouting services

If we don’t trade the SJ pick,
I think I’d like to see us grab Spencer Knight if he’s still available

I know we have 6k (who came up with that btw?) coming,
but having more than 1 good goalie prospect isn’t a bad thing

if you had a buyout every year

do you buy out Sobotka or Scandella for 2019-20 and save Okposo for 20-21?

I am shocked at myself for not even suggesting Bogo

- homiedclown

I’d buy out Sobotka
If Scandella finds his game again, he’d be the much better trade piece at the deadline

EDIT
If no penalty, I’d probably get rid of Okposo
I don’t see him in a 4th line role, so just clear that 6mil so we can spend it elsewhere
Sobatka is an ok 4th liner

Just put the no 2 line pass back in and get rid of all interference, or keep the 2 line pass and say you aren't allowed to hit defensemen with the puck behind their net unless all your skaters are in the O-Zone. You'd still be able to chase and poke the puck, just no teeing off forechecks like this:

I know you’ve said they like Johansson
That’s cool
Nothing wrong with loading up on good goalie prospects
Some won’t turn out
And if we have multiple that do,
then it’s just better for us anyways

I think we address goalie as well but that will probably be in the 3rd round. The last top 5 projected pick to fall out of the top 10 due to injury looks pretty darn good centering the Isles top line and is the reason Chirelli is out of a job. If Turcotte is there when we pick I’d be sprinting to the podium.
