That was one kid who fell in the draft, was a projected 1st rounder at one point. I liked that trade.

I thought so too yesterday, but as the writers released their polls this morning, I felt they would be higher. One still had them as high as #11.

Something I noticed when I updated Buffalo's stats is that Dahlin has directly setup more 5v5 shots than anyone else on the team except Eichel (9.28 primary shot assists per 60 minutes). Third highest rate in the NHL in my current sample.

I had a long time to really think about this team over the last 10 days or so. I am happy they are improving and they are right where I thought they would be, but that damn 10 game win streak went and screwed my head all up. I started envisioning going from worst to first, all the headlines and then BAM, back to reality.

Reality is this team has BIG holes. I trust that JBotts will fix them and I do hope to stay in the playoff hunt the rest of the year.

I know it is just an AHL trade, but just looked at Baptiste stats.
