I'm not so sure that Elliott will even be able to return this season, if ever. A month ago, they were talking about him being on the ice in a few weeks. Now it's what? Another few weeks? I have a feeling he really needs surgery and that his career is probably over, but he's trying to avoid the inevitable for as long as possible. It sucks, as he is a class guy, but it's the sad reality of pro sports. Odds are, as you age, something is going to break down. - BiggE
Oh, no doubt. He can't be depended on, going forward, that's for sure. |

Buyout - Just5
No.
Just send him down to AHL. Maybe he wants a termination but no reason to buyout on the Flyers side |

Per the latest Bill tweet, Elliot will make the next road trip and begin taking shots. Could be another 2-3 weeks.
I do recall though, when the injury first happened, I believe the timetable was only 2 weeks. Yeah, I would be shocked if he did not suit up again this year with the way this injury has gone. |

please trade simmonds fletch. I can't watch another 4+ years of someone giving such little amounts of effort |

I really wonder if Simmonds' relatively passive approach this season has been to preserve himself for his last chance at cashing in as a UFA. |

I'm calling it now: if they resign Wayne Simmonds, he will have a late career resurgence and win the Norris Trophy. |

I'm fine with Simmonds, He's just not meant to be a 3rd line player. Put him on the 2nd line with a competent center that can get him the puck and he will produce at even strength. And hopefully his mean streak comes back. |

You don't think that Wayne Simmonds can win the Norris? |

There is no way they part with Coots, Patrick or Frost, nor should they. Myers and a center prospect like Rubtsov along with perhaps a late 1st that they could acquire in a Simmonds deal is likely the most they would offer. The Jets leverage is limited, as everyone knows he can go UFA the following season. - BiggE
I agree with what you say would be the most they could offer and also think its fair but I don't think the Jets options are limited at all, 25 year old top pair right shot D are pretty sought after around the league and all you need is 2 teams interested. I think Detroit ( Trouba's hometown will be very interested as well this summer )

Dale Weise was never given a chance, he needs to play with an elite center to get him the puck...
*waits for BiggE's response*

If it's true we are going to extend Simmonds and give him the term he is looking for, I will be dissapointed in fletcher |

Lol Chuck just spoke with media and someone asked about Dale.
No hesitation goes, “Dale doesn’t have a future here. He won’t be part of what’s to come.” - arichardson22

Buyout - Just5
I’m hoping they don’t buyout Weise because I believe he has one year left and why deal with the penalty but I’m absolutely in favor of buying out Mac. I’ve just had enough. |

Mr. Snider was a very bright individual who at one time also did not have a hockey background.
The article was not centered on Hextall. - NC Flyers Fan
It was an article about Scott. Why would it be centered around Hextall?
