2 is a “bunch” ?
Lol

Hey man...
i hope you’re right if we keep the picks
It’s not that i wouldn’t love to add 2 “Pasternak” type players
Just don’t think it’s very realistic

And if we are projecting a 50% success rate for these picks
I’d still trade 2 of them for “sure things”

This year is a deep draft for forwards and coincidentally that’s what we need. I think we can obtain a really good player with Blues and Sabres pick. If he moves the Sharks pick then so be it but I still have no idea who that said player is going to be. I’d rather keep it unless its a no brainer. Cause once we are a cup contender status that player is 2 years older. I say make the trade next year at the deadline.

How does 1 year make much of a difference?

We do need help to get to the point where we are contending ya know

3 first rounders are in our system and by that point we could be moving the 2020 or 2021 first rounder. By that time you also have a better idea where Mittelstadt and Thompson are in their development and we have hopefully ridden ourselves of Sobotka, Scandella, Bogo, Beaulieu, Pominville and have some money to play with. We only have around $5M in cap space before Skinner extension. Also Reinhart is probbaly talking contract this summer as well.

But how does trading for (example) Couturier NOW disrupt ANY of that?

Kyle connor with his 20th and 21st goals of the season. 17th overall pick. Should have been traded so the Jets could win now. Played 20 games in the year after he was drafted and has been a regular in his last season and a half. The Jets still have to wait another year or two for him to make an impact though....

Zach Senyshyn with his zero and his zero goals of his career, two picks before Connor. Played zero games the year after he was drafted and has not been a regular in his last season and a half, having played zero games. The Bruins should've traded him, oh wait, they can't, because he's a massive bust.

We can literally go on and on all night. You can keep picking guys who've done well and I can keep picking guys that have done literally nothing. There is no one way to do it. The Sabres already have a 1C and 1D. That's the foundation, teams have added to that every which way and won Cups. There is no one way to win.

Price is probably way too high. Also would require some cap hit going the other way that Philly might not want to take. Or philly doesn’t want to trade him.

Does he have haters?

I'm in no way sold on him as a top 6, but I root for him.

You mean the pick the entire scouting community was shocked by as he wasn’t ranked above 50 by any scouting community ? The bruins ruined a wet dream. It’s possible Botts franks up the draft too but he can also frank up trading away all of our assets with nothing to show for it like Murray did. I prefer the patience approach. The Bruins did everything right just picked the wrong players in 2015. The 2019 has some good depth this year in terms of forwards. We can snag a few pretty good wingers where we are sitting right now.

He's not top-6. He's a 4th line player. Can easily play 3rd, and can slide up from there if needed

Yeah I was one of Erod’s biggest fans last year.

He was just beyond terrible from the eye test to start this year
