His shot is a joke...he doesn't have a bomb at all. - taleisyreXIII
My slapshot got clocked at 93 2 years after I was done with college (true story) and I would bet Letang’s full slapshot (not his patented half slap) is probably upper 90’s. I wouldn’t call those muffins, my man |

Maybe hire Kendall to replace Jones and Milbury...she’s got 500 times the hockey IQ |

The moron twins on the intermission are like a live Geico commercial...so they carpet that studio to protect their knuckles?
So all of those hits were good and clean?! And Jones wouldn’t change a thing down 0-3, remind me again of all of his success? - iworkatinitech
Keith Jones is worthless haha I have no clue why he’s on TV. |

So much of a joke you'd lay in front of it to block it?... I would never call Letangs shot a joke. |

Exactly. I was holding my breath when Hornie got that shoulder to the head. Letang too....his head slammed off the glass. Two guys with bad concussion histories. |

I get what you’re saying and I disagree. I would put what you’re saying in the same category as “women who dress skimpy should expect to get raped” - WSCTeton17
What?
Protect yourself at all times is more in line with what I'm saying. |

Yeah man, I currently play hockey (both ice and ball) with a guy who's wrister is harder than most people's slap shot that play. |

Don’t need a bomb on the PP. Its not about the power of the shot. It’s about the willingness to shoot to keep the Pkers honest and the ability to hit the net when your shots do get through.
The problem does not start with Letang IMO. I think the problem is more because they neglect the Malkin one timer. Phil on the half wall has become option 1 (for good reason and probably should be.) but I 100% believe that the Geno Bomb should always be option 2. Letang’s shot should be option 3. I’m not really sure why they don’t force feed Geno more often. - j.boyd919
Imagine a power play where the #1 option is actually feeding the bump man in the slot who then bumps it out to Geno for the 1-T with Sid looking for tips and rebounds. #goals

I get exactly what you’re saying and a number of us are disagreeing. Letang shouldn’t have to expect to get hit from behind after he’s already gotten rid of the puck just like women who dress skimpy shouldn’t have to expect to get raped, and if they do the narrative should obviously never be “they wanted it.” I know the comparison is excessive, but to me I see similarities |

This game is a long way from being over. Pens are getting schooled most of the time.
I guess this girl wanted out of that little box with Pierre. I wonder if she got a shower in between periods. |

Depends on the player in the slot though. Given the Pens roster, I think Horny in front is their most effective option but if the Pens had an Oshie-like player (i would choose a lefty so they could overload the Kessel side of the ice) in the slot and worked the triangle on that side of the ice with Sid and Kessel, when Kessel finally moves it up to Letang and Tanger to Geno for the one timer it gets the whole PK unit moving laterally to the net as well as the goalie. |

Boyd, going back to beer league guys talking about hockey. Drives me nuts all these dumb people who always scream “shoot the puck!”
I was at a Coyotes game right after my surgery when Pitt came to town and some guy a couple rows down was yelling for one of the Coyotes to shoot the puck.. he was being pressured to the outside and he was on his backhand. Come on man
Cullen is useless in these scrums after the whistle. Even Phil wraps guys up |

Tampa is approaching Capitals - level dirty in this game.
If Pens don't get the next goal they're in trouble.

That’s part of my “Hornqvist is vanilla” narrative. Yeah, he’s good around the net but so is Jake and I think he would be a good bump guy if he got more time at it. It’s a good point about a possible lefty but I envision the touch pass coming from a righty. Go from high to low down to Sid to the slot who bumps it to Geno for the 1-T. By doing so you can often times create that clear shooting lane for Geno just like Ovie and Stamkos get. So many of Geno’s 1-Ts seem to get blocked lately
Note on the Letang goal: awesome job by Phil to attack the defenders to his strong side to give Letang a clean shot |

CF was 81 - 19 5v5 Bolts in the 1st. She was down with Pierre in the first. Now she's up with Edzo. |
