Boyd, going back to beer league guys talking about hockey. Drives me nuts all these dumb people who always scream “shoot the puck!”
I was at a Coyotes game right after my surgery when Pitt came to town and some guy a couple rows down was yelling for one of the Coyotes to shoot the puck.. he was being pressured to the outside and he was on his backhand. Come on man
Cullen is useless in these scrums after the whistle. Even Phil wraps guys up - WSCTeton17
Hahahah yep. It’s horrendous. It’s so funny because you know who those guys are on your team because when your team gets a peeper, they are the guys that take the puck up and shoot off the rush instead of pulling up and setting up a PP and moving the puck. |

Pierre McGuire brings up Paul Coffey. Edzo adds a tidbit on Coffey. The chick says “Yeah, we all grew up on wooden Coffey sticks.”
Edzo: not an Eddi Olcyk stick?
The chick: I had one of those

CF was 81 - 19 5v5 Bolts in the 1st. She was down with Pierre in the first. Now she's up with Edzo. - madmike71
I thought you meant the first 4 or 5 mins of 2nd and that she was completely gone from broadcast hahah... Sorry |

I hope that was the end of Stamkos' shift and the beginning of Cullen's because Cullen went right by Stammer lol |

That’s part of my “Hornqvist is vanilla” narrative. Yeah, he’s good around the net but so is Jake and I think he would be a good bump guy if he got more time at it. It’s a good point about a possible lefty but I envision the touch pass coming from a righty. Go from high to low down to Sid to the slot who bumps it to Geno for the 1-T. By doing so you can often times create that clear shooting lane for Geno just like Ovie and Stamkos get. So many of Geno’s 1-Ts seem to get blocked lately
Note on the Letang goal: awesome job by Phil to attack the defenders to his strong side to give Letang a clean shot - WSCTeton17
Ovie and Stammer get their feeds from their pointman (Carlson/Hedman) the majority of the time. Oshie is the Caps slot guy (righty) and plays pitch and catch with Backstrom on the half way then Carlson gets the puck from Backstrom and feeds ovi for the one timer more often than not. Same with Brayden Point who plays the slot as a righty to work that side of the ice with Kuch. That’s why I think working the triangle with Phil/Sid/Lefty would work better to free Genos lane up. |

I get what you’re saying but the lane on the left side should still open up more often and it opens up the backdoor lane to Phil sometimes as well. Our power play just seems stale and one dimensional. Tons of perimeter play and then trying to thread a pass through three guys when it’s clearly not there |

Yeah I do ageee that it is one dimensional. I don’t think it has to be, even with the current roster, but I feel like the way they play it as of now is definitely stale. |

Did Milbury just say a fight has never won a hockey game? I’m honestly shocked. Seems like an anti-Dingleberry take. |

Very noticeable on the Sheahan goal, not much else. Very Sprong-like |

Malkin and Stamkos exchange some weak shots back and forth. Pierre brought up Malkin’s different gloves. Dana told him Malkin is doing it to try and shake off his funk |
