Careful, no bad ju ju for jack, you’ll be stoned because he’s everything here.
- gordong

Last time ppl made comments he went on a streak
Here’s to hoping...

Really though, Jack is obviously awesome
I’m not in any way trying to say he isn’t
BUT...
he does have another step to take to get into the “elite” category of NHL stars
Once he starts scoring more consistently & becomes that 35+ goal guy,
then no one will argue he’s not on the same level as Matthews or even Crosby, McDavid, etc

I think it's pretty obvious that Phil is a racist.

Per Elliote Friedman

“Dzingel, I think the market is decent,” indicated Friedman. “He could score 30 goals this year. So I think you’re going to have some interest, and I think they’re going to be able to do some things. People are always looking for scoring - always, always, always. Last year, what did Grabner go for - he went for a second-rounder and a prospect. I think that’s probably the kind of thing you’re looking at, and maybe higher because of the year he’s having.”

My guess is the price would be higher being in the same division, theres still value.

I wouldn’t trade for him

But he’d be an interesting guy to go after as a UFA
Especially if we miss out on Stone
Speedy winger that can Score- will turn 27 near the end of this season
And he will obviously cost less

Ferland from Carolina is another “B” target UFA that could help us
Got a little “Tom Wilson” in his game as a physical agitator
And can score goals in the low20s

Brock Nelson & Kevin Hayes would be in this grouping as well

Jack has 1 goal in the last 9games

Goal scoring CONSISTENCY is still a work in progress for him imo

- jdfitz77

He looks like he’s getting back to himself the past couple of games though. The first 3-4 games when he came back from that injury he looked terrible. He was definitley labouring still. He has 4 points in the last 9 games. Reinhart has 3 goals and 2 assists for 5 points in his last 9. Skinner has 3 points in his last 9, all goals including one point in his last 5 (goal against Columbus).

As Eichel goes, the team goes. When he’s not at his best, Skinner and Reinhart go back to being the 55-60 point players that they are.

Agree moving forward that we need a couple of those type of players on our roster if we're going to win playoff rounds. We have very few answers when teams start to get physical. The team was able to push through it against CBJ but last night I thought it really disrupted our game.

if we move any of our first rounders it should be for a superstar winger to play with Jack that bumps down Skinner or Reinhart to the 2nd line with an improving Mittelstadt.

What’s the deal with Skinner? Haven’t heard much about him lately as far as if Buffalo is going to look to resign him or move him at the deadline. If they do resign him, what’s the numbers being thrown around?

Benn put quite a pop on Jack late in the third last night, I thought it was probably clean, but it was marginal. It was one of those things where if Risto did it to another team's guy, we would have screamed if a penalty was called.

I know we were only down one, so a penalty for us there is fatal. And I know Jack is a scorer. But I found myself wanting more from Jack. And Benn even stood there and made it clear he was ready to answer.

I understand the benefits of wisdom. But it was a leadership opportunity that I think Jack missed.

reading a different board. Toronto fans still expect Matthews to take less than 10MM AAV.

Its laughable.

some talking 5-6 years at 8-9MM.

For as much as i want the sabres to have the problems the leafs do, the fact that they think all superstar players are going to take discounts to play in Toronto makes me hope it blows up in their face.

Also if i am Buffalo i 100% offer sheet Matthews to a 5 Year 12.75MM deal.

Give up the four picks.

Hopefully st louis defers until next year.

You have 2 this year, 2 next year. which turns to 1 and 1.

and then you have two picks three and four years for now for MAtthews.

You are not serious? He played in the all-star game and is a top player but you are suggesting it takes 10 games to get going?

Playing Dallas last night should have made anyone realize that we needed more speed both up front and on the blue line

My thoughts on Last nights Game.

UllMark is better then Hutton and should be played more.
Ellie: WHY BOTHER
Okslowpoke.. Trade at all costs even if we have to retain and give up a prospect or high pick to get rid of him.

Bowl-U..
Scandella is just not very good at Hockey.

And the PP is just awful.

Other then that it was a good game last night.....

Agree on many of your points here. Beaulieau is a bad horror movie on defense. Ellie May is a waste and although it's a nice thought to trade Okmosis, it won't be an easy thing to do.

Ullmark should be the #1, Hutton makes me nervous back there.

Doesn't it have to be all of our original picks and not picks acquired?
