If Scandella doesn't sit the next game, Phil should be fired. Hunwick and 82 should be in over that POS. Season over. Hopefully we make the playoffs next year. - The_Inkwell
Don't blame Scandella. If we had some forwards that could finish, we could have had a 3 or 4 goal lead in the first. It would be a different game. The Sabres are just not good. |

3 days before the next game. Does Botts pull the trigger? - Powerslave
Which trigger? On a crappy player or a crappy coach? Im not convinced Botts knows where the trigger is. |

Apparently we don’t need 1st rounders and getting knocked out in the first round, if we even get there, is better then acquiring better talent. Eichel isn’t worth 10M a year and Reinahrt and Skinner are Gods. Welcome to the Sabres blog. |

Alright lads, hey if any Laffs fans come in here and tries to deny they're not 2 years behind your rebuild, or tries to argue who has more points and such like they're trolling, just sent them our way.
Cheers |

It can literally blow one's mind if one fully digests how completely irrelevant that this franchise has been for 8 years now.
Why?
How do other franchises remain on top or have unnoticeable turnarounds and quickly are 'back in the game'.
And here we sit, here we sit still making excuses after years.
8 years of redundant regurgitated excuses much like today's Democrat party.
I said at the end of December, before the rails fell off and confidence turned south that then, then was the time to change the group up a bit.
We knew, we all knew that we needed a 2nd line center back then.
So why wait?
There are goods that could be moved.
Nope.
We'll have none of that playoff nonsensical talk around here.
We'll just sit and pass gas on our hands and be happy with the status quo.
I mean, why not?
The fans keep filling the arena.
The merchandise keeps flying off of our vendor's shelves.
Why be brave?
Why show some courage and give this fanbase something to really cheer about when I can just sit back and blame everyone else that there were no deals out there to be made.
Once again our GM has defecated the bed.
We have Darcy Regier all over again.
A shame that this franchise can not seem to find the 'tweener' amongst GMJB and GMTM.
Grow a spine GMJB.
The natives are getting restless. |

Losing helps the team long term. We have Eichel and Dahlin. Those two guys make us a playoff team for a long time. Drafting high and smart free agent signings will put us over the top in 2 years when we are actually capable of competing with the big dogs. |

Do we have enough assets to buy us 5 players and age Dahlin and Mittelstadt 3 years somehow ? Or should we stand pat and be realistic ? |

Look at the stats. Rip is going on 0-48
with the organization. |

Competeing for the Cup in two years? Sounds rather optimistic. Conference finals in year one?

Yes because, we have shown and proven as a franchise that we are perfectly capable of doing what you have asserted above.
Your "2 years" will turn into another 8 years before you know it.
While the good franchises seem to turn it around in a heartbeat.
They've been at this for 8 years and your adding another 2 years?
One word comes to the forefront of my mind = inept.
I simply don't agree with you.
Not after 8 years.
But hey, you do you. 👍 |

No no pegullaville has it right. Lets wait 4 more years.
With no center in the pipeline and since Pegullaville thinks we should stand pat I am sure one of our 3 1sts will become a center in the NHL in 4 years and then we are ready. |
