We are on coach 4 and GM 3 since the Ruff/Regier era and still we struggle.

Absolutely, you could have traded a mixture of 1st, 2nd, Guhle, Nylander + any b rate prospect or any non core roster player and you would get a 2nd/3rd line center. That is plenty of ammunition without sacrificing the future still leaving you with 2 1sts.

Tis why that I vehemently disagree with the folks that indulge in the we are more than a 2C away Polly wanna cracker mimicking.

There is more than one way to arrive at your destination.
Sometimes you need to drive that car like it's on fire.
Drive with some courage, no self doubt.
Drive that car like you just robbed a bank.

I've seen this type of GM before.
His name was Darcy.
This season has Darcy, "I'm afraid to make a move" all over it.

He appears to lack courage.
It's either fear or lack of courage.
Either is not a good trait for a top tier GM.

Other franchises make fixes on the fly.
This franchise takes 8 years to realize that it needs to wipe its own ass.
