I don't hop on here like you're doing right now, pulling a "Jeremy White" trying to force feed my opinion down people's throats as if it's the only one that's right

I already said to you fans get GMs and coaches fired.
The Boo Birds are coming out....tick tock. - sabresfan69
Like Powerslave said we are where everyone thought we would be. Every expert said preseason we would be in the hunt but not make the playoffs. Dom luszczyszyn predicted we would finish with 85 points in the preseason on the Athletic. Check the archives, I said we would battle for the 2nd wildcard spot. Although I admit I was totally wrong when I said Mitts would be a stud off the bat with 50+ points. We finished 31st last season yet we are going to let a 10 game win streak cloud are judgement when we are what 8-14-5 in our last 27 or close to it last time I checked ? |

I appreciate that. Thank you.
Everyone is entitled to their opinions on here. Like I said, I CHOOSE to remain positive.
I get why people are down. Losing sucks. And it gets harder and harder every year, with the parity in this league.

No you’re right sir, we are a 2C away from beating Tampa in a playoff series. I’m sorry for sharing a logical longterm viewpoint. |

Because you agree with him.
That's easy to do.

He isn't panicking but also how do you know he isn't paralyzed with fear of making a mistake.
Botts has made some mistakes he is a rookie GM. I am not sure I can go with blind faith. - sabresfan69
He has made a few mistakes.
He also stole Skinner.
Could he be paralyzed? Sure.
Could it be patience, instead, with the plan he has set in motion? |

Yes as a surprise playoff team. One player said we would be the best team in the league in a few years but posters here are fixated on the present. They also voted for Arizona who even I thought would be better this year. Being a playoff contender and cup contender are two different things however. Sure we can make a move or two that gets us knocked out in the first round this year but is it worth it ? I’d rather suck and be a cup contender in two years time but that’s me. You’re entitled to your opinion. |

He needs to sign JS or get more than was given up for him. If he walks, it was just a tease and a big waste. |

I haven't mentioned the playoffs or to trade for any specific player. What I have talked about is a plan.

If Skinner walks Botts head will be on a pole. This team will be a disaster. |

We have a dynamic young center, a sniper and an 18 year old who may be the best D-man in the game in a few years.
That's something to be excited about for the long term.
I've watched this team for far too long to worry about instant gratification anymore. This is about the big picture. |

I’m waiting to hear your grand scheme to make us cup contenders in a months time without delepting our entire prospect pool and draft choices. I can tell you with 100% certainty however Muzzin, Brassard, Sheehan, Bjugstad, and McCann aren’t the answer though. |

8 years is "long term" enough.
I'll say it once again.
Funny how other franchises retool on the fly every year eh?
And we are on year 8.
And yet, you are content with another few years of non playoff hockey?
You live a procrastinators life.
It's cool.
That's you.
To put this into a better perspective.
My one grandson is 9 and he loves hockey.
Loves it!
Loves the Sabres.
I have yet to be able to bring that grandson to a Sabres playoff game yet.
I'm no procrastinator.
I live for today.

There is no quick fix.
I wanted a minor move earlier in the year when it looked like we were still in a great playoff spot.
That isn’t the case anymore |

Eh, some would be mad. Others would call it brilliant for not overpaying. |

That is not my job. That is Bott's job.
My job is to cheer or boo.
At the moment I am not cheering.
When you get enough booing you get fired. |

Brillant for missing the playoffs not trading him for assets(can probably get a 1st+) at the deadline and then letting Skinner a 30-40 goal scorer walk.
Sounds brilliant to me. |
