Aye, maybe there is something in the water.

But for crying out loud, give Larsson some offensive time and see what he does with it. He cashed in a goal last game. He has been making more offensive plays (getting more involved offensively) this season and it would be nice to see him get rewarded for it.

Playing Nurse 25+ minutes a game is eventually gonna take a toll on him (29 minutes last game!).

Completely unsurprised that the Edmonton media won't ask a question that goes against the supposed "hard workers". THAT is part of Oilers culture. Stifling the dissenting voices in the media and within the organization itself when the target is one of their golden boys.

I can only hope that our next GM will be a wolf amongst these sheep there....I have come to terms that the media will be what they are till some of these older guys get sent packing and newer voices enter the picture

Maybe I'm just doom-and-gloom, but the firing of Chiarelli really only showed me one thing: the disease of failure is still endemic within the Oilers upper brass. Nicholson is as much of the problem as Chiarelli was. As much as MacT is. As much as Lowe was/maybe still is. As much as Howson is. As much as Gretzky is. All of them.

The adulation of "Oilers culture" by Burger Bob at the post-Chiarelli press conference is proof positive that they just don't get it. They don't get that THEY are getting in their own way, that THEY are the malaise that surrounds this team and that THEY are what stops this team from growing with the game. Perpetually two steps behind the curve and forever drowning in their own arrogance.

I've heard that they still haven't interviewed anyone for the GM position yet. Wouldn't surprise me at all if they're just waiting to interview 'their guy' (McCrimmon, according to some). Classic Oilers...

Hitch won’t call out a shot blocker. He loves watching players take a hard shot to the body. It’s grit, not poor defence to him.

Hopefully the Bomb is back next week. Y’all need him to remain a bubble team that just misses the playoffs and gets a middling first round pick in a mediocre draft. Not ideal. Especially with the projection of this years draft.

Watch the Condors instead. 10 game winning streak. Must have a great farm team, so maybe your cupboards aren’t as barren as thought. Development from within.

I have been saying for a while that the entire circus needs to be canned and I can only hope that if the Oilers do express interest in a guy that he will have the sense to tell them that he will run it as he sees fit and not how the clowns want it run or they can find someone else
