I like the idea of Toffoli. Get him on Eichel line and put Reinhart as 2C. - mhp
If this new forward lines shake up doesn’t work,
Sam at 2C should be the next thing they explore |

If Botts is interested in Carter, I have to question his vision for this team. I just don't see the appeal of Carter. 34, clearly on the decline, 3 more years @ over $5 mil/per. The last thing this team needs is to add yet ANOTHER bad contract. - Powerslave
Yes, I agree
Carter seems like the last player in the nhl jbotts would target.
Unless okposo joins his buddy matt m |

We are up against the cap. No room for anything new or what could be exciting . .
Let alone having another GM that would agree to it

I’d try Sam at Center before Tage,
but at this point I’m not ruling out anything |

Sam showed great wing moments . Tage needs the experience . He is fast and Sam CAN keep up. Might be worth a try . What we have now isn't working very well. |

I could see Bowl-U and Girgs playing well in Pittsburgh. I’ll throw in Pominville for Malkin. They need depth, Sabres need a 2C.
Call up Nylander and we have ourselves a hockey team folks - washedup20

He’s doing us a favour. Why do we need another slow vet with a cap hit for a few more years. Two years from now he’ll be another Okposo. Botts is worrying me now.
I do appreciate the info though. I’m not jumping down your throat. |

I like the lineup changes we just made:
Sheary looked good with Jack to start the season
If Okposo can keep up, then he be more productive with Jack just bc Jack is so good
Skinner & Mitts combo makes sense to try & get Mitts going
And Pommer has played well with Skinner already, so revisiting that is worth a try
E Rod has been productive at Center
Seems like the right line for Cj with the call up
And then Sam is gonna lead that line
Gives us a reasonable chance at 3 lines that can score
We’ll see how it all plays out
I just hope they let this ride for at least a few games & don’t switch it up by the 2nd period tomorrow night |

I had to go back & make sure i wasn’t misinterpreting the trade suggestion
Can’t imagine Pitt would do anything other than hang up in laughter
Malkin might be struggling
But they aren’t gonna dump him for crap
MAYBE if they like Nylander or Guhle,
then one (or both) with Sam & a 1st
But even then i doubt they’d do it
Malkin has the ability to be a top5 player in the game |

I get him at least consider Carter &/or Toffoli
We really do need secondary scoring that badly
But i hope he goes in another direction |

How is botts worrying you?
He has led this team from 1st overall to an almost guaranteed top 10 pick. In 2 months.
And hasnt traded the precious other 1 rounders you covet?
He's playing your game right? |

I did, post the entire comment or just take it out of context you cock.
You are an unbearable person with horrible social skills. You are an obnoxious loaf, it’s very easy to get mad at you with how petty you are. |

You don’t think a package deal for Toffoli and Carter wouldn’t include a first ? Possibly multiple firsts ? He said young players and picks. |

Idk the Cavern Tavern
Before my time
Gypsy is at the corner of Grant & Potomac - jdfitz77
Yes.
My wife's parents long ago lived a half of a block in from Grant street on Potomac.
Back in the day, that was the Cavern Tavern.
My wife's parents pretty much opened and closed that place from the stories that she tells me.
I miss the old west side.
I go down there now and it makes me wanna cry really.
My home that I grew up in at 176 Hampshire is still standing.
So is our old family owned store JP's (which is still a store to this day) on the corner of Hampshire and Plymouth.
I miss those days...

Jeff Carter is 34 years old. Has 3 years remaining after this year at 5.2M. I guess he has a good cap hit but can we rely on him to produce till 37 ? I don’t watch enough Kings games to gauge if the guy still has it or not. |
