If he walks, you throw money at Hall and Stone. Hall can "center" his own line from the wing. It would help L2 immensely. - jcragcrumple
So you're saying there are other options?
Interesting.
I'd prefer Hall anyways. *hides* |

Nylander should’ve been the call up. Doesn’t seem like he’s going to get his shot with JB running things. Probably best to trade him now rather than later. - Jammerz04
Curious, why? |

The is way down the hypothetical rabbit hole, but if you knew that Hall was interested in signing here, would it not be worth spending a 1st to move Okposo? It would effectively be trading a 1st for Hall. Then there would be room for Skinner or someone else, too |

Me too... I'm sorry but when your coach is engaged in the game the players perform differently. Phil never looks like he is awake.
I can remember back in the day when Rick Dudley was our coach, He would get so pi$$ed off he would literally bite the clip board.
Lindy would literally lose his mind sometimes and the players would respond.
I want to play for coaches like that....Not a coach who looks like he wants to hand our orange slices and juice boxes all the time.. that may be harsh but it is the way I feel.
now with that said, i am not in the locker rooms after the periods and games are over but something tells me when Phil gets mad people are NOT listening. |

Definitely worth it, but you'd have to be sure that a deal could be made. Wouldn't want to trade that 1st then have 6M in unused cap space. |

Good post
I like a person that balances themself out.
You caught yourself being 100% negative and then balanced yourself out.
You're right.
We aren't in the locker room so, we don't know.

My breaking point with Phail was last season during the game against Minnesota in Minnesota. We were down 3-0 in the first 5 minutes of the game and risto dropped koivu coming over the blue line with his head down. There was no initial penalty called, they went to a commercial break and helped koivu off the ice. Then they gave risto a 5 minute major for interference and ejected him. I’m sitting 15 rows up right behind the bench and housley didn’t do a thing, just kept chomping his gum. I was losing my mind. If that were lindy he would have gone absolutely ballistic, I would have expected him to get ejected as well. (frank) him (housley) |

I like Lindy (like every good Buffalonian). I'm not sure he would be the guy you remember though. When he took the job in Dallas, he acknowledged that the game has changed, and he couldn't be so hard on players anymore. I'm sure age has cooled him off a bit, too. I get your point though. Bylsma was passive, and Housley is a too. I have to think Housley's job is safe this year, right or wrong. It would be the 3rd coach fired after his second year. |

The less JB does with Buffalo or Pitt connections the better, imo. If the Bills could stop with the Carolina connections, that would be good too.

maybe they should have kept Nolan around for another year or two, depending upon results...what he lacked in "x's and o's" he more than made up for in motivating his players to play like a team and leave it all on the ice...Bylsma may have had his system and Housley may know how to activate the defense, but after four years, what do they have to show for all that knowledge?

First team ever to finish 31st. That’s something. |
