You ever see someone bail while waterskiing and forget to let go of the towline? Edler hit the ice like that. Stick got pulled, spun Edler around, lost footing, and hit the ice face first. If Edler would have let go of this stick nothing would have happened.

Never seen anything like it. Even Sami Salo was quoted saying “damn that was a (frank)ing weird injury”.

Seems like every time we play the Flyers something happens, their coach fired last time, Edler injured this time and they get their 2000th victory, first expansion team to get it....which surprised me. I thought the Penguins would have been first expansion team to that number.
