datsyuk only had one year left on his deal...granted it was a $7.5m cap-hit but it was still only one year...

sabres are going to need to ride this one out for the rest of this season, and i'm planning on it being at least another year before they can get out from under it

40 points next year might be a pipe dream, but I'm not giving away a first and probably eating salary too.

I'm sure he's helping the young guys in other ways .

My problem with his game is that he tries to do too much. He works the cycle but gets the puck and loses it.

Odd that the Sabres look completely different since then divorced from berglund. In a bad way.

I know everyone felt like the players would be mad at berglund. But: him having some emotional/dependant problems , I think the players probably feel for him and his family. That's a lot of $ being yanked away

Especially someone like sobotka, that has known him for years.

Bergy quit on the team for whatever reason, and to the best of my knowledge HE agreed to terminate the remainder of his contract, meaning the decision was mutual, why would the Sabres look bad??

I am just having a hard time understanding why any player in the league would be pissed off at the Sabres.....
