Part of the game is the entertainment factor.

Watching the boss just take poop all night, with ZERO response is terrible. We're a passionate fan base led by a wimpy gun chewer.

The referees have been particularly bad at home this season. This home town gets - a disadvantage

I’m more “entertained” by a team that wins

And i don’t believe yelling at the Refs has an effect on u winning
Thus, idc about it
Don’t think it’s necessary
Bc i don’t think it changes anything

Now,
If someone can provide a link that says where Refs react positively when chastised by a coach... I’ll listen
But i think it’s just as possible it makes them put the whistle away even tighter

On Friday against Chicago was my breaking point with him. All game chewing his gum, holding his knee. The norm.

Then the 2nd period ended... Players and Staff make their way into the locker room. There is Phail on the bench holding the tablet for 5+ minutes after all the players are in the room..... they came out firing in the 3rd.. so SOMEONE got them fired up while Phail was still on the bench by himself doing what he does best... chewing gum and looking lost.

The intermission is 20 minutes long.

Who is to say he wasn't taking that 5 minutes to prepare what he was going to say when he got to the room.

I have been in many locker rooms where the coach waits until players get situated before coming in and saying his piece

I'm not getting baited into some long drawn out argument about human emotions.

Phil needs to show more emotion.
Name a mild mannered winning coach.

It was the way it was done.... we had just given up a goal with under a minute to go in the period to make it 4-1 and there was NO emotion. Nothing, chewing his gum and holding his knee. Then just stands there for 5 minutes (at least) after both benches are cleared. This isn't a "waiting for the guys to get situated" This was a "I'm lost" Scenario. IMO.

Mighty taco has better tacos then taco hell.

Had 10x the emotion of Phil, and that is really saying something.

Any update on Skinner contract?
- sammysam13

Honestly, I thought it would be done or close to done by now.

Refs most often put their whistles away late in the 3rd & OT

Should they?
Probably not, but that’s how it is

Does a coach yelling at them change anything?
Doubtful

So if Skinner is not signed by TD Day, does he get traded? Assuming we are still in the playoff hunt?

I don't like the odds of us re-signing him...

Fair enough.

Mighty is still awesome.

Please post your feelings after taking the challenge.

We once brought my mother in law to the duffs/ anchor wing challenge. Back to back days.

I enjoyed anchor bar more

I’ll wait for evidence that yelling at the Refs gets us more calls

Till then, we disagree

He can't sign an 8 year deal until the deadline. That's the hold up imo. It's gonna happen j5

Last I heard it was 7.8 - 8.5 in that area. Don't know if I would go 8 a year for him.

Just give him 7.785 with heavy bonus structure and lowere salary.

Like 70/30 split yearly bonus to salary.

give him a full NMC and give him lockout protection.
