Start over with better management and a few great pieces, that’s all they can do. McDavid, Draisaitl, Nurse and Klefbom are really good players and they’re young, build on that.

That Dylan Strome trade is looking like a steal.

Arz's GM got burnt bad on that deal and the Domi trade.

Last 2 games for the most part have been pretty awesome, could have / should have got points in both IMO.

I have just finished watching the game and I don’t understand after 50 plus games that this team can’t pass the puck to each other. Decision making with the puck (and off the puck) is sooo bad, there just isn’t any chemistry.

I’m referring to everyone, Pettersson skating through neutral zone puck in his feet and he is oblivious. Hutton to Boeser on the wing...behind him Horvat to Goldobin weak and short. Tanev to Hutton, who’s being double teamed and can’t make a play.

I have just noticed the last while that these guys aren’t gelling together, to many mistakes, poor passing, bad anticipation, poor decisions. But they do play a couple of periods with good intensity and get chances.

The intensity has been turned up to tank.

They need Edler, he's by far the best 2 way defensemen on this team, gudbranson being a close second....

Pettersson has got to be tired but I hope they don't throw the towel in and give up.

The lack of talent on this team gets exposed when they need to come from behind.

Like, if you were to "slot" players based on their ideal role you get a lineup like this:

XXXX - Petterson - Boeser
Baertschi - Horvat - XXXX
Roussell - XXXX - Virtanen
Motte - Beagle/Sutter - XXXX

XXXX - XXXX
Edler - Tanev
Hutton - Stecher

You can quibble with that sort of ranking a bit, but the general point is you're left filling in your blanks with players that just aren't good enough for the load you want them to carry. Granlund, Sutter, Gudbranson, Leivo, Pouliot, Goldy, etc.

That's not a lineup that's good enough to win unless you're getting more than your share of gratuity.
