Defensively they looked really out of sync. I'm sure the rotation of guys is part of that, but they do need to clean that up.

I like the brand of hockey they are playing. I just want them to play it better. Tonight cemented to me what you have been saying for a while. Perlini is not worth a spot. His penalty notwithstanding, he loses the puck easily, and is out of position a lot.

Now we know why Kunitz is playing.

He was frustrating. Some of it was just bad luck. Until the last month of last season he was rocking a 56CF%. He was doing a lot right. However, i think he went back to the basics this off-season He seems better conditioned.

Gibson was the only reason the Ducks started as strong as they did. He is exhausted, reminds me of the Hawks last year that once Crawford went down, everything fell apart.

I agree, for me it's the tale of 2 seasons, i had no expectations that the Hawks would win their games, now i feel some hope and actually excited to watch them again and now believe they have a chance to win. It's a good place to be warts and all
