Really need to stop this man to man crap. I watched the d really closely last night. Guys still don’t know who to pick up. When opposing D men come down in the zone it’s complete chaos. I watched seabs stand still and let a d men walk right by him to the net. He didn’t know if he should take the puck carrier or check the winger parked infront of the net.
You can’t play man in today’s NHL. Not when offense now involves all 5 players carrying the puck and moving without it. It doesn’t work and you can see Hawks players thinking on the ice instead of reading and reacting. Recipe to get beat and give up a lot of prime scoring opportunities.

Interesting that Columbus was playing man - to - man last night. Also i would love to know how well and how much TOI Murray, dman Columbus Blue Jackets ( #2 overall his draft year), has received as this season wore on. TOI increase?
